What happened to him? It seems like he was Adams friend for the first couple seasons and then he falls off the face of the earth while 'Ginsy' stays on as Bev's friend. I wondered this while Adam was graduating and Ginsy said her son was graduating too...i was like oh wow i forgot about Chad!

I've been watching him read reddit posts from am I the asshole, best of redditor updates, etc.

Spent the night tossing and turning with insomnia and sleeping alone without my partner and child has been tough on me. I was exhausted and decided to turn on the TV, Roku had live TV and I saw that The Goldbergs was on and had just started. The episode was DannyDonnieJoeyJonJordan that came on. I haven't really laughed at sitcom like that in years. My dad was always the type to put on the Big bang theory and I hated it.

Goldbergs kinda breathed some new life into me about sitcoms, everyone put in some solid acting as well as great scripts and plots. I hear after season 3 the show drops in quality because the exec producer Adam leaves, is this correct?

Anyway I also watched the Darryl Dawkins Dance and it still held up. One thing that's nice is the emphasis on family and no one is made to look like an idiot all the time just some of the time. Some elements of unhealthy behavior in a family but not necessarily toxic behavior and for the most part they wrap up the show and leave everyone looking great at the end of 30 minutes. Very formulaic, but it's a sitcom it's supposed to be formulaic.

have any of you watched schooled? if so, did you enjoy it? i’m not far into the goldbergs yet but thinking about watching it once i finish since it’s only two seasons. i like lainey and i love the actor that plays mr brown (any jane the virgin stans here?)

i’m on season 2 and i seriously can’t stand rowan blanchards character. tell me i don’t have to deal with her being insufferable for too long 😭

Hey everyone, I’ve been looking for an episode where, at the end, barry and erica have a keyboard that when pressed it plays a recording of beverly saying murrays name. This results in murray getting upset and trying to find out what’s going on. I can’t remember anything else that happens in this episode, but I find that scene hilarious. Was wondering if anyone has any idea of which episode this is in.

Before the show ended, I kept thinking that The Goldbergs could’ve made an episode based on one of the legendary family movies of all-time ‘80s style, and can you take a guess from this post? If not, I’ll give you a hint.

Did anyone else beside me think that Jane Bales was one of the best, if not THE best, looking woman on the show?

When it comes to the women of The Goldbergs and their attractiveness, most will go for Erica, or Lainey, or even Beverly to an extent; but Jane always stood out to me as when it came to her looks and my attention would go to her whenever she was on screen.

Ive noticed so many. mainly while adam was still working on the show. And it doesnt really bother me i just find it funny.

There were two 16th birthday epsiodes for adam. One was about adam not wanting to drive and the other was a parody of john hughes sixteen candles.

Ruben Amarro Jr. ( i assume thats how you spell his name) Was seen graduating high school with erica but then in a later episode he is seen back at william penn until he graduates high school with barry and geoff. i guess he got held back after all.

The episode where barry joins the high school football team he has to hide it from his mom so he wont get cut from the team yet since murray and him have a close bond when it comes to sports youd think he'd show up to a few games.

I think the only times dave kim didnt wear a turtleneck were during school plays and school dances

Around season 4 - 5. The kids get jobs. Erica and barry work at spencers and adam works at an arcade.

Adam gets fired but after the episode there is no mention of spencers or erica and barry working there and murray doesnt harp on them about getting a new job.

In season 4 i believe. Adam was having a hard time figuring out why emy was mad at him and erica pulls him aside to tell him that she wasnt always cool and that she was once like emy. She mentions she wore glasses but at some point started to wear glasses yet whenever she wakes up in the morning she is always shown wearing glasses.

barry and erica tease adam for being weird and nerdy yet both of them wear glasses and have a nerfy side.

What are some others you noticed?

We always talk about how much of a weirdo and a pain in the ass Beverly was, she was also kind of stupid.

It always felt like she truly didn’t understand how the world works and was convinced that it was like it was on TV and movies; like thinking that a small matter should be treated like a court case, never getting a celebrity’s name right, thinking Adam was a heartthrob, not understanding when someone tells her to get out, trying to get Weird Al Yankovic to take his tour bus to their house and play music for Adam and Dana, making Barry eat chili and buttermilk (wtf?) before Hockey practice, etc.

And I think it’s safe to say that all of her cautionary stories were not real and made no sense to anyone but her. She was just overall completely dumb and delusional, it’s easy to see that Barry takes more after her than Murray.
