Justification:

Tiermanator has a range advantage against Zondark, with his shotgun capable of destroying flesh slightly faster than Zondark can regenerate it. This gives Tiermanator a chance at defeating Zondark by dealing substantial damage to Zondark and then the Slug Barton’s Grub before Zondark can close the distance. In melee Zondark’s reach and speed of attacks means Tiermanator cannot beat him without disarming him. If Tiermanator disarms Zondark before taking substantial damage a lengthy melee fight ensues. In that fight Zondark is liable to disclose his weakness (the grub) which Tiermanator can then quickly act on.’*

Essentially

• Tiermanator has a slim chance of defeating Zondark at range by inflicting consistent headshots and displacing flesh faster than Zondark can heal.
• Tiermanator stands a slim chance in melee if he can disarm Zondark before Zondark gets within 15ft of him.

Zondark holds a likely victory against Tiermanator, and is sure to kill him if he gets within 15ft with his battleaxe still in hand/tentacle.

Torture

• Running: Soldier Boy.
• Stips: has his gun, shield, and throwing knives. Thinks his opponents are Communists/ Nazis/ Anti-American. No radiation blasts as they’re OOT (he is aware of this) - this makes him functionally as he was in WWII.
• Scaling: included in RT, include this feat for scaling.

Justification:

in a match between Soldier Boy and the Tierminator, the wincon of the TS would rely on his greater stamina, endurance and lifting to score either a killing choke or simply outlast soldier boy in a slug off, as unlike the TS, soldier boy still needs his organs to survive lol. Also, despite giving an initial advantage, Soldier Boy’s shield can be yanked out of him by the TS’s superior lifting On the other hand, SB has a big chance to kill the TS before loosing the endurance fight by focusing on the head, (a spot which he loves to attack seeing his fights against Black Noir, Mindstorm and the headshots he does). There, his superior striking will prove fatal to the TS if his defenses get weak, but keep in mind, his chances get slimmer if he looses his shield, and way bigger if he is able to keep it.

Other info:

• Both character’s ranged options are not strong enough to do anything relevant
• No fighter has enough lifting to rip the other appart
• No fighter has any other strategy for anything but a straight up brawl to be considered
• Skill seems to be on par, at most, a slight edge to soldier boy

With this, Soldier Boy holds an EVEN chance to beat the TS, at the end, it all depends on his ability to keep his shield and go ham on his face.

  • Stips: Wielding both his standard guns in-hand with numerous magazines on his person; has his katana.
  • Justification: Preston's guns won't be able to easily inflict heavy damage on the Tierminator, and the ability of the machine to simply fold Preston in melee quite simply place him on the lower end of the tier. He would require heavy, sustained fire on the machine to disable it before it could close to melee, since the shotgun simply wouldn't ever touch him. Preston's guns have the potency to slightly chip away at it over time, thus giving him an Unlikely victory

  • Stips: has been hired to assassinate his opponent. In his suit. Has his knives and katanas sheathed. Has his pistols in hand and fully loaded.
  • Deadpools weapons cannot significantly harm Tiermanator up close or at range. Whilst Deadpool has a significant speed advantage, Tiermanator can beat Deadpool by incapacitating him via dismemberment or decapitation. Unlikely victory for Deadpool.

Tldr 4 month long debate league to build ELO culminating in a Great Debate Tourney where seeds are properly ELO vetted

Overview

The Great Debate, and other tourneys, are suffering greatly from time constraints. A league for debating has been lobbied, and shall be implemented. R/TheGreatDebateChamber shall be the official tourney grounds for the leagues debates

Rules

1. All debaters start at 1200 ELO. ELO shall work on chess rules and be calculated as such

2. The only limit to the number of debates any debater can partake of in each league season is their own limitations with one exception: no debater may be in more than two concurrent debates at the same time

3. Any debater may issue a challenge to any other debater. No challenge is binding at this point in time, but each debater must participate in 3 debates within the 4 month season

4. Default rules and tier for the season will be similar to the upcoming GDT, but so long as rules are agreed upon by both debaters, any parameters may be utilized.

5. Time limitations for debates in the league will be 1 response every 4 days instead of 48 hours; debaters may agree to upward of one week per response, with Organizer approval.

6. Judges for each debate shall consist of other debaters in the league for the season. Judges may be requested by both debaters, and if both debaters agree to a judge that judge MUST adjudicate the match unless they have already judged 3 matches for the season. If 3 matches have been judged by any one debater, they may take only matches they desire. Any qualms are up to Organizer preference to deal with.

7. Before a match begins, judges must give input on if characters are in tier for the agreed upon parameters: if all judges agree, no OOT may be made in the debate except for being argued egregiously out of tier. Such an occurrence will be up to Organizer and Judge discretion, and discussed with all parties, debaters included.

   • 7a. Addendum to this rule: all submitted characters must have a paragraph of justification for how they fit tier, with explicit reference to HOW the tier-setter can kill/incap the submitted character, as well as general stat/strategy comparisons

8. To be a valid match: both debaters must agree on parameters or use baseline assumptions for the season, 3 judges must be secured (5 judges may also be secured if more input is desired), and Organizers must sign off on the match
