New watch - 27/Jul/2025
I've started rewatch of the show.
I'll periodically post comments about episodes, thoughts.
My memories, are, the organizational structure is pretty accurate. The drama overwrites military truth/accuracy.
Tex, the actor playing that guy was a hoot from day 1.
Digital cammy's for sailors is still just wrong, even though period accurate. Dungarees are the way it was, and should be.

Tex was absolutely the man. I have a question though - when the show first came out, he was described in both the Wikipedia articles and The Last Ship's Wikia page as "former US Army Special Forces" ... which would seem legit because he's certainly got the requisite skills & swagger - but I believe I've rewatched EVERY DAMN THING involving Tex, and never once can I find him mention anything about the Army nor SF. Anyone know where that would be?
