I've started rewatch of the show.

I'll periodically post comments about episodes, thoughts.

My memories, are, the organizational structure is pretty accurate. The drama overwrites military truth/accuracy.

Tex, the actor playing that guy was a hoot from day 1.

Digital cammy's for sailors is still just wrong, even though period accurate. Dungarees are the way it was, and should be.

Enjoying a rewatch myself. A very underrated show. Can someone tell me why the sailors in the CIC and on the bridge wear those oversized collar things when the ship is gearing up for a scrap? I can't seem to frame my question in a web search to get an answer. Thanks.
