Rock you like a Hurricane

1oz Appleton 12

1oz Coruba

1oz Myers’s

1oz Passion Fruit Syrup

1oz Lemon Juice

1/2oz Lime Juice

I am working on my rum blend for hurricanes. One thing I found was the Smuggler’s Cove recipe was too much for me. Too tart so I’m messing with the ratios a little.

I think I’m getting close to what I want. The rum mix is great, it’s not too overpowering but presents a strong Jamaican flavour. I should just break down and make a Fassionola but I don’t really have a kitchen right now.

I made some strawberry syrup so I might replace 1/4oz of the passion fruit syrup with that and see where I’m at. I do think some amount of lime juice is required.

There really shouldn’t be lime in that that’s probably part of your issue

Oh I meant from the passion fruit syrup. 2oz of passion fruit and 2oz of citrus was too much for me. So I knocked it down. But I like the added sour of lime too much.
