Traveling to Israel with food allergies

Does anyone have tips for finding restaurants with gluten free and dairy free options? I am visiting next month and excited to see all the products at the grocery stores but would love to eat out a few times as well. Hopefully the options have grown in the past few years!

Thank you so much!

Where do you plan on visiting? Tel Aviv and northern Israel is your best bet, but most restaurants will indulge you if you ask to remove certain things. It would also help to know how severe your allergies are

Thanks for replying! We'll be in tel Aviv for a day, then ashdod most of the time. Likely a day trip to Jerusalem. My allergies are pretty severe, I've definitely gotten taken down by cross contamination before. I plan on making an allergy card in Hebrew that lists my allergies and severity to share with the restaurants/wait staff. But you can never be too prepared so I'm open to all the tips/suggestions!

Yes definitely! Any specific places youd recommend? Or even stores to stock up at before heading to Ashdod?
