It's great to see this return, even if it's a somewhat awkward return as it's a very direct continuation of the cliffhanger from the last season. While not as catchy, I also like the OP and ED. The ED in particularly stands out. The panning shots are so creative, and the dancing at the end is so fun. I mean, dancing in OPs and EDs is just cheating.

First episode is fun with how much characters end up talking over each other. Rather sudden finish though.

Hell of a first episode. Loving the few added scenes to set up later developments, and the art and storyboarding for how scary Hikaru is is amazing. Incredible adaptation so far.

Solid first episode. There's just a bunch of little bits of subtle animation to sell the characters' personality more. Some excellent backgrounds as well. Sadly, I did sour on the manga as it went on, so I'm not sure I have it in me to keep up with this show, especially with how crowded the season is getting for me.

To be concise: Great punk opening theme, fun absurd girl with legitimately uncomfortable faces, but the real fun is watching old school detective movie tropes satirized. The main character could've been transported directly from a 1970 mystery with little change, and I'm here for it so long as it keeps it up. Grizzled old detective set in his ways is already a common trope in serious mystery series, but this works in comedy too when it's taken to an extreme.

First episode is gorgeous. There's so much incredible animation that add so much to Ruri's character. Just from the start with her falling in love with minerals does so much for her. Although I do find it funny that they've lowkey ramped up the horniness compared to the manga as Nagi does not have those kinds of proportions in the manga.

Very strong start to no one's surprise. I'm actually watching through Nichijou right now, and the feel of the two shows are near identical for most of it. That being said, I'm also not the biggest fan. The style of humor doesn't quite hit as well for me as it does for other people. I'll stick with it at the very least.

Some solid drama in the first episode. Glad that I don't have to sit through several episodes of the usual club recruitment. That being said, I totally did not expect the time travel twist, and I'm left unsure if that has me more or less interested in the show because I feel like the drama was not too bad and could become something potentially good in a grounded setting. Here's to hoping this unexpected new premise is good.
