I feel like this has a deeper meaning
I feel like it could be calypso coping with loss. I hope we get to see more of his family in s3. He obviously has parents but the first thing we all think of when it comes to his family is his daughter but the problem is that we already have a krista

I'm finally watching the series....
I have a fondness for video game adaptations. It doesn't matter if they're good or bad so long as they're entertaining. The limitations with the older games allowed for creativity, and despite the criticism of so of the films, there was work put into them. My only experience with "Twisted Metal" is playing "Twisted Metal: Black" and watching the cutscenes for the first game and the 2012. Much like fighting games, car combat games didn't interest me, but that's probably because I was never good at them.
As for the series, I'm enjoying it. I'm currently on episode eight of season one. I like the world building. It gives a reason to why there would be drivers with weapons attached to their vehicles. I understand that the characters may not be how they are in the games, but from what I know, the traits of the characters change throughout the games.
There are few flaws, but they're understandable. Car combat is what Twisted Metal is known for, and there isn't much of it. However, having that in each episode would be too repetitive. It was a right choice to have an apocalyptic world with walled off cities and criminals and "milkmen" on the outside. I do think that if it wasn't for the two main leads, the Calypso actor, and Thomas Haden Church, I may not watch the series due to not knowing anyone. The episodes also seem way too short, but it makes it easy to binge a season like it was one long movie. I'm aware that the first season establishes the universe, and the second season has the tournament. I'm looking forward to it.

Assuming that TM 4 takes place in 1999, sweet tooth would be in his mid 70s..
Based off the intro, let's say he was 10 when Calypso came to town, the cars look definitely early 30s but I'll give some leeway that it was 1935.
If Sweet Tooth was born in 1925 and assuming 4 takes place the year it was released in 1999 he would be 74 years old lol.

Which Characters did you kind of wanted to survive? 💀 Spoiler
We lost & gained so many players but who did you low key want to survive or thought might have made it a lot further?

What are the wishes Calypso granted that he kept closest to their intent?
In any game or media, even the comic.
From what I've seen in my brief deep-dive, he does seem to live up to most of the vendetta/vengeance wishes. So long as they don't harm him or Twisted Metal.

For a long time I thought quatro (tm4) was a complete robot
I think he's an alien in armour. Idk why I never paid attention to this before lmao

Am I the only one that thinks that Sweet Tooth will come back with a gang of clowns like TM2012, since season 3 is definitely gonna happen Spoiler
Just like season 1, Sweet Tooth's death wasn't really confirmed and I can see john doe giving him his truck back so he could help them if he survived

Quiet and Mayhem are like big sister and little sister in this scene singing along together.

Anyone from Season 1 you’d like to see back?
Kind of was expecting to see more people from Season 1; like Watts, Bloody Mary, and Alice.

Hand-to-Hand Combat Matchups in the Show
Sweet Tooth pretty much comes off as the king of hand-to-hand combat in the show. The guy is unstoppable, which is probably why they kept him sidelined in a few episodes—otherwise he’d just wreck everyone.
But I keep thinking… Axel could actually be a solid counter to him. Yeah, he got nerfed during the dorm fight, but with his gasoline back in play, I could see him holding his own against Tooth.
If the writers ever put them head-to-head, who do you think comes out on top?

Which Twisted Metal is the most active?
I’m a huge fan of Black’s mechanical depth but I don’t like the dark edgy tone. I love TM2 but I can’t find anyone to play with online 😫.
Head on is my favorite twisted metal but apparently it’s hated in the community? I’ll even settle for Vigilante 8 at this point but it seems like this genre of game is so scattered and inactive

New Game Ideas
I was thinking of ways they could do a new Twisted Metal game, and what’s out today that’s comparable to a hypothetical “modernized” Twisted Metal experience.
It got me thinking about Crossout with its sense of scope, its rich, in depth customization, and overall just smooth gameplay with a high skill ceiling.
Would a MMO-type of game work for this universe if they stayed true to the world tour concept we see from the games and the show? I think it would be awesome if throughout the world there were social hubs—places where users could engage in a more structured multiplayer experience—like death races, arena battles, raids, chop shops, trade shows, etc.
You could join factions similar to how it was in Twisted Metal 2012 and have large-scale conflicts with 10-20 cars, each side battling over turf in a constant struggle to expand territory.
Idk, I’m high and just thinking of things that I wish were real and this is one I’ve been stuck on for a while.

Did Calypso? Spoiler
Did he grant everyone’s wish? Stu going somewhere safe and at the moon, John’s sister coming back to life being Minion and Quiet having the walls down with war? Is that a ‘twist’ within itself?

Replica car builds from the TV series
Has anyone attempted to do a replica build of one of the cars from the Twisted Metal TV series from Peacock? Interested in knowing.

Turbo button in the tv show is literally a playstation triangle button...lol Spoiler
Before Quiet rams her car towards Minion, she hits a turbo button which is marked with a triangle symbol at the 29:49 mark. To turbo in the old Twisted Metal games, you have to press the triangle on the playstation controller. I love these easter eggs I keep discovering as I rewatch scenes

On the TV show, are Grimm’s powers real? Spoiler
We see Mr Grimm absorbing souls from dead people and him losing them all, but we also see, from other characters perspective, that nothing is happening.
Do you think something is really happening, or is this just part of his psychosis? The part that makes him so dangerous?
The other voices could be a form of identity disorder because we never see him doing voices of people we’ve seen him kill.
