News - Media Westall petition makes front page news in Dandenong Star Journal
With a weekly circulation of ~36,000 copies, the newspaper that first reported the Westall flying saucer incident has today reported on a petition that calls for the Australian government to launch an independent inquiry and investigate the case.
No explanation has ever been offered by the Australian government as to what was observed in the skies above Westall High School on 6 April 1966.

No way, an Aussie UFO story! My mum remembers this being all over the news back then. Then quite obviously it was hushed right up.
If I'm not mistaken many people reported seeing it back then, too.
