Homemade Curry goat, rice and peas.
Bought a bag when I saw the post on this sub a couple of months back (diced frozen goat at Farmfoods, £10 for a kilo bag). Completely boneless, decent sized cubes.
Today was curry goat with rice and peas.
Takes a bit of time to cook to tenderness but the trade-off is a deep flavour. Would buy again.

Homemade Lovely bit of duck on a Sunday🦆
Some flavours I've not worked with before, and worked out almost perfectly! Went a little over on the potatoes so bottom layer was a bit crispy to say the least, but overall very happy with the flavours. Not a professional chef but I'm working on it, so any feedback more than welcome👍
Crispy Duck Breast, Potato Stack, Butternut Squash Puree, Longstem Broccoli, Hazelnut Crumb & Cherry + Port Jus.

Homemade Braised beef short rib from butchers
Browned 3 bone-in short ribs from the local butchers before removing and sauteeing carrot, shallot and garlic finely chopped in the same pan. In went Chinese five spice, some ginger garlic paste, then chopped tomatoes. Short ribs back in, generous amount of Malbec added and then braised for 3hrs. Finished off with extra buttery mash. Absolutely superb.

Restaurant/Pub Sunday roast pork
If it looks quite beige, that's because a lot of the veg (and the pigs in blankets) was on a side plate which I initially forgot to photograph.

Question Mattessons Smoked Pork Sausage substitute
Hi folks!
My partner is talking about trying to avoid pork (long story, and I am not here to debate the rights and wrongs of this decision 😃).
Most porky things I am fine with avoiding, or can think of a substitute, but one of our go-to easy dinners includes Mattessons u-shaped Smoked Pork Sausage... I am sure there must be kosher / halal alternatives (or veggie possibilities), and am interested to know which you have tried and which are the best (and which to avoid...)

Homemade Made my own tuna onigiri for dinner! Paired with kimchi and some homegrown pickles 🥒
Bought an rice mould online on a whim whilst glum. Now very pleased as this was incredibly easy to make and tasted nicer than any I’ve bought before! Made some pickles last week (homegrown jalapeños and lemon cucumber, with garlic) so it was nice to have them with a meal for the first time.
