Mildly surprised, and I’d think this has to come from Cabrera’s side. The work he’s done to take this team to the playoffs with regularity on limited resources has been consistently impressive - RGV would be crazy to let him go.

He was one of my favorite Houston Dynamo coaches ever. And he was pretty good, won a US Open Cup and took the team to the playoffs. He struggled coaching some really big egos (Alberth Elis, Romell Quioto, Mauro Manotas) and that was part of his downfall there.

Hoping RGV stays in business. HEB park is a really nice place to watch a game.

Either they're folding or cleaning house. I heard some top players like Ricketts and Ackwei were told to find new clubs.

Edit: Ackwei just officially posted on his Instagram page that he's leaving, too. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cz7b4QTxu-1

at least this time they’re making moves before the new year. usually don’t hear a peep out of them until later in the off season.

don’t know if this is anything to do with the team folding but i’m hoping they continue to exist for the foreseeable future
