Easy way to transfer wealth upward without calling it a 'tax'

The foreign postal services were asked to collect the tariffs, to maintain this falsehood of it not being a tax. 26 countries no longer deliver parcels to USA.

It’s a tool of immense power that he can use at a whim without anyone’s permission. He can use it to threaten other countries or entire industries to do as he wants. It lets him behave a bit more like the dictator he wants to become.

He’s a moron that doesn’t understand economic theory, and has surrounded himself with “yes men” that are cowards and scared to correct his wrong assumptions.

Aside from what everyone else has said, dementia patients have a tendency to fixate on things. With my mother-in-law (early-onset Alzheimer's) it was cutting down a decades-old locust tree in her front yard. That tree was at the cause of everything that was wrong with her life. Every conversation ended up steered toward that awful, evil tree. It had to go.

Once it had, she found something new to fixate on.

I think you'd have to remove them first before you could reinstate them.

The court will do the right thing as they have the 17 previous times they acted supporting the good Trump is doing.

Supreme Court needs to remember the fate of all Supreme Courts under autocracies. Once they allow the autocracy to form then they will then only be allowed to live so long as they rubber stamp what the supreme leader says. They lose all power and relevance. If at any time they are inconvenient, they will be removed.

I think we’ve already crossed that threshold. SCOTUS will rule along party lines to give Trump what he wants.

If they want to give all this power to the current president, the next president can order them arrested, and their seats vacated and replaced. Who's going to stop them? They set the precedent for the next president.

Does Julius Caesar ring a bell? There won’t be another. Except by decree. Julius Caesar appointed Octavian as successor and once he murdered the others (Brutus and Anthony) that was it.
