Mod Post Moderation Update
Hey everyone,
First thing we would like to get feedback on the sub reddit's moderation from our last post. Have you seen an improvement has it gotten worse? anything you want to see changed?
second, we would like to update you on what we are currently working on
- Increased sub reddit filters
- We have added filters that if triggered remove the content and send it to the mod queue to be approved before it can be posted
- for posts you must be a sub member, not a new account, and positive sub karma
- For comments you must not have a new account, and have positive sub karma
- We are looking into adding small fact checks when you are posting or commenting. What this would look like is: If your post or comment has a key word "Holodomor" for example it will provide you with information about the topic in a little message as you are preparing your post or comment. potentially also an auto mod response for posts.
- More Flairs! let us know what you want!

Meta Since my last about post I made about purging garnered the negative feelings I've seen, I'll explain what I meant exactly here
I said I wanted to purge the liberals and rectionaries from this subreddit, what did I mean by this?
I meant that I want the people that come here to parrot western propaganda talking points and keep treating the USSR like a monolith of evil, even as far as equating it to the Nazis.
I didn't mean that I don't want criticisms of the USSR or people who are starting their leftist journey to be banned, obviously criticisms are necessary are very much deserved in many cases, but having to explain things to people only for them to revert to the same points over and over again it's tiring because they're not going for an open discussion about the USSR and it's compexities, they are just brainlessly attacking it and treating it like the most evil nation in history.
That's all, I don't want an echo chamber, I don't want only appraisal of the USSR i want genuine discussion but a lot of these people come here just to troll or repeat western propaganda over and over.
Sorry if my last post was too ambigous as to what I was refering, everyone shoukd be welcome here as long as their not just griefing or unwilling to engage in genuine discussion

Others Huh, so that famine in Ukraine really was an intentional genocide. The genocide was just committed by Ukrainian Kulaks and Nazis, who then blamed their crimes on Stalin.

Others Did tattoos exist in any context in the USSR?
I know that modern Russian criminals tend to have tatoos, but what about the entire historical span of the USSR among all demographics? Did the soldiers of WWII get them, or the stilyagi, or the 80s breakdancers ever get them?
Люди которые разбираются в противогазах и вещах гражданской обороны времён СССР, подскажите что изображено на фото
People who understand gas masks and civil defense equipment from the USSR, please tell me what is shown in the photo.

Why is the Holodomor (the Soviet famine of 1930-33) so well known in the West while the Russian famine of 1921-22 is practically unknown despite being equally devastating?
I am a massive history/alt history fan and I only learned about the 1921-22 famine this year(!) and only through AI. It's literally never mentioned in any media.
