Should i upgrade?

Hi, I'm a new ubuntu user. I started using because my hp probook 4510s can't handle anything over windows 8. So i installed xubuntu 22.04. but i keep eyeing the latest update. I'm scared my shit pc cannot handle it.

If you know any other thing i can use to enhance my experience please let me know.

First step in a terminal:

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y

Then back in the DE look for the software update tool. It may offer any pending version upgrades which may include additional software.
