"The S-300 radar enables the system to track and engage aerial targets with a radar cross-section as small as 0.2 square meters (2.2 sq. ft), moving at speeds of up to 1,300 meters per second (4,300 ft/s). It can engage targets at altitudes ranging from 82 feet to 89,000 feet"

Seems strange that they destroyed several S300 and S400 radar systems this week but they detect objects as little as 0.2 Square metres. Russian claims for their technology are just laughable.

This is not strange, even the most advanced systems have a limited number of missiles in their launchers, so a massive attack by cheap drones, especially those flying low or under cover of terrain, can break through the defenses. And the S-300/S-400 are less effective against low-flying missiles and drones that use the terrain to hide from radar.

Looks like an expensive piece of equipment.
