Ukraine needs to be able to hit 30-100kms behind the line at scale. That will slow offensive activity.

Interesting? I'd rather say nasty 😀

Yes, Ukraine needs many more.

If they have that why don't they send them to Moscow, start obliterating that place

Kharkiv to Moscow is 650 km.

Yeah, the ubiquitous cheap FPV hammer everything that moves up to 15, maybe 20km. With relay etc that goes up. The longer fiberoptics can reach 25+km. And then the Vampire and other heavy bombers. Some of the expensive western winged drones with AI and/or EW resistant can hit back to the 100km (depending on model), but due to lack of numbers and expense, they are selective on targets.

There is zero doubt in my mind that these numbers will get pushed deeper and deeper as cheaper AI navigation and targeting will allow hitting farther at very low cost, making it more and more dangerous to supply the lines or stage assaults.

Ukraine has so many weapons in the pipeline that can hit to 100 km. GMLRS. The American and French glide bombs, ... and soon their knock-off UMPK kits that will bring far larger of glide bombs into the rear. And it appears SAAB may have resolved the accuracy issue with the GLSDB, which would be useful with its 150 km range.

And now we can add the RAM-2X, and whatever else I have forgotten to mention.

I for one can't wait for season two of "Blow Up all Russia's Refineries!" I was on the edge of my seat all of last season!

There is even a real-time scoreboard for that one ... the ruble price of AI-95 gasoline.

Winter is coming. Ukraine is just offering the Russians some heat from those burning refineries....

for refineries ukraine just use FP-1s its their knock off shaheed drone. pretty usefull and works well against refineries. the payload is small but its enouth to start a big fire when it ignites the liquids inside the cracking unit

Our rockstar, Fire Point company (flamingo, fp1 producer) announced production of fp2 drone. Range of several hundred km, warhead over 100kg

I’d love to see them loft and float drones over Russia using hydrogen balloons — getting them 100k feet up and riding wind currents before releasing could unlock huge range

I had that same weapon idea,  using the height for kinetic energy similar to the tallboys of ww2

I’m less concerned about kinetic gain — more using the height to increase the range due to being able to glide a lot

Additionally, Russia could only shoot it down with an expensive SAM (vs. small arm fire)

Yea good luck. The drone would be a popsicle.

This is flat-out wrong

Check out the Red Bull jump with Felix — that balloon carried a dude and a capsule, easily a few hundred pounds

Another — look at all that gear

Are you retarded by any chance? You are comparing a human that had 100 people help him for 1 fucking jump. He had a litteral spacecraft that he was strapped in seconds before a jump. Over a small shitty drone that would be made as cheap as possible.

I dunno man, the Japanese figured it out 80 years ago and launched 9000 of them … so maybe you’re just the ignorant retard

You are comparing a unguided iron bomb to a drone with electronics and flight surfaces are you fucking stupid?

God damn, dummy, give it a rest — it’s okay if you don’t understand what I’m saying

Just have to keep pushing the depots and staging areas further back to strain logistics. When they think its a safe distance and pile mountains of ammunition is when the additional range makes all the distance.
