The best cello under 50$?

Hi guys

I need a simple but yet realistic solo cello but I’m not able to spend more than 50$

Any recommendations?

Philharmonik if it's still on sale. A lot of people hate it. I think it's great. The harpsichord is 🔥

Unfortunately it doesn’t run natively on Macs with M series.

Oh that sucks. I guess you've tried the free BBC spitfire one?

I did my best to make it work, but I couldn’t. Their Spitfire app doesn’t work anymore since they switched to the Labs app.

You can use a standalone vst for the bbc orchestra, I'm working on a track rn using it. No need to go trough spitfire i think, i might be misremembering tho

I couldn’t install, I believe this was released before they switch to their LABS app so it doesn’t show up in my VST libraries when I install it.

It’s not in labs plugin. It has its own plugin.

Orchestraltools lets you purchase solo instruments one-by-one

Their cellos are great! Price is between 37 and 56€

Sine player is free btw

Can't think of any under $50. Strings Flows by Decent Sampler is $69 and ofc runs in their free plugin.

It doesn’t have a solo cellos apparently

Worth a shot. Had another look around and the only option I find close to $50 is Sonixinema Intimate Legato Cello, which is £52 (~$70) and runs in the free Kontakt player. There are some other options at around $100, but yeah.

You could have a look at "Solo Cello Spurs" on Pianobook. Its free and works with Kontakt or Decentsampler.

The solo cello in the Salu library from Orchestral Tools. It's 37 euros, so under 50$. Have a look at the demos.

If it’s just for one project you could do a Musio subscription for a while ($10 usd a month)

Depends on your workflow but the best free cello sound you can get is Musescore notation app with Muse sounds. You can write the lines in the right bpm and export the audio to bring in your daw after.
