Instruments to vst preset

Is there any vsti which allows import of a small sample(3-5sec) from an actual physical instrument? Let’s say some acoustic instrument/ guitar

Vital perhaps?

A sampler plays back samples, sounds like your best bet. You haven’t explained what it is you want to do, so hard to provide help..

Vital have a sample player bellow the oscillator

I did try but didn’t get results like i wanted with Vital. I took a small one string instrument from north india (punjab region) called Tumbi. Try to sample it in Vital but the outcome was not multi note.. proper instrument. May be i need to learn more about it.

My idea is to sample an instrument from some song or radio. To generate full instrument in sample based approach or synth. Sample not more then 3-5 seconds

Pigments - I've done this regularly to make nice granular pads, and it comes with a stack of samples too
