Instrument Good, reasonably-priced piano vsts?
I got Arturia free with a controller keyboard that I bought and I love the sounds on it, but it doesn't play nicely with Reaper. Half the time it'll get stuck on loading and I have to force-quit Reaper in order for it to start up again. And when playing it live it often starts to glitch the audio as if I haven't got enough processing power to run it, despite it only being a single plug-in and the fact that I'm able to run much more CPU-intensive works.
As far as troubleshooting goes they blame Reaper, Reaper blames them, so there's little help from either end.
I'm at the stage now where I feel like my life might be easier if I just get a different piano vst.
99% of the time I don't use any of the other sounds (partly because they're not easy to edit and make your own, partly because I'm just using it as a way to play the piano rather than looking to add it to tracks, and partly because of the above-mentioned problems which make it easier just to use a different instrument), so I'm not bothered if the vst has organs, synths, etc. If it does, then that might be a nice bonus, but really what I'm looking for is a plug-in which has one/several different pianos which sound as realistic as possible and which respond to a sustain pedal, velocity, etc.
