But when Canute went through the battle with Thorkell, and Biorn almost died, He questions his faith and challenges God.

He fell away, while she grew closer. What happened?

I was arguing with a moron that said canute's writing is bad because he abandoned christianity and that the whole manga is dismissive of chirstianity. I think he is objectively wrong about this. I am not a christian so i never tought if the series was actually dismissive or not. The series follows a lot of the christian teachings. The moron said that thorfinn is badly written because he doesn't follow jesus christ when he implements his teachings.

Please enlighten me on how exactly is vinland saga dealing with christianity. Is i t dismissive? Is it apreciating it? As a non christian i can apreciate it's take on christianity.

Only on Ep4 so maybe it’ll grow on me but his voice just doesn’t sound like how I pictured it while reading. Maybe a little too high pitched idk he kinda sounds dorky when I thought he’d sound cunning and smooth. Little disappointing but I’m liking the adaptation so far! Soundtrack is killer!

I really liked season 1 and felt it was unique in its own way but since season 2 I managed to watch 8 episodes roughly because how boring it was , so does it get better and exciting or is the rest of the season the same so I should stop watching.

I havnt found anything yet that tops Vinkand Saga yet for me. What are some others anime that are like this anime?

I know this is a historical fiction but the leader of this camp feels like a caricature of a glutinous leader as opposed to the more grounded character designs of almost every other character in the Vinland Saga story.

This was made apparent to me in the last chapter with different groups sharing their culture. Plem is now basically a farmer after learning from Thorfin, bug eye and Niskawajj, They're going on doing their own thing. They will probably procreate and have interracial families in some corner of the world. They'll be carrying the culture of both Norse and the LNA people. I suppose it's in line with the themes of the story- to really be kind to one another, it'll be better to know each other first. In Thorfin's next journey he'll probably have more success as he has a new perspective/insight into another way of life that's not just his own.

For those that have seen both, which do you prefer?

I’ve only read the manga and the anime didn’t seem very special to me after the first ep. Saw a sweet edit on here the other day tho so it made me kinda wanna watch especially for S2.

Can someone, who understands Canute's philosophy, explain how he thinks of God?

I was thinking about Thorfinn’s change to become a better person and why he turned around, and then I realized that I have no idea why Thors got to the same conclusion Thorfinn did. Does anyone have any ideas or theories?
