More so recently imho. I’ve seen a lot less “everyone needs to be in lockstep or you’ll be exiled to fringe candidate territory” and a lot more “get in the tent.”

As someone who was very critical of the way much of the left acted towards less stringently left wing people last time, I’ve not seen nearly that level of criticizing impurity. I’m left, but I’m not deluded enough to think there’s a majority out there that agrees with everything I want. For one, the protests that have occurred have been much broader-based, with fewer specific policy demands and more of a focus on the bad things Trump is actually doing.

Will it hold? Ask me again when presidential primaries start up in 2027.
