Please make the promotion for WRC cool again like from 2001 until 2005.

Yes, please. Who was the promoter during that period? Because I can only imagine if the same company would get the promoting rights again, what a fantastic work they would do with the current technology available.

It was the International Sportsworld Communicators (ISC) which at the time was owned by David Richards, later in 2007 it was bought by North One Televison and in 2009 it signed a 10 year deal as a promoter for the WRC and later in 2010 it was renamed to North One Sports.

During March of 2011 it was bought by Convers Sports Initiatives (CSI) but the company went under administration in November of that year after the arrest of the owner for fraud, this left North One scrambling to find another investor but with no results.

Just a few days before the 2012 Monte Carlo Rally the FIA signed a deal with Eurosport to cover most of the season and the rights for the 2013 season and onwards were bought by Red Bull.

So in the end that North One deal lasted just 2 years instead of 10, wonder what would had happened if everything went right.

Thank you for this in-depth information. I wonder the same. Until 2010-2012 ~ it was still good coverage with great quality. After that, it slowly went away. Maybe one of these promoters, until 2012 will have a go again. North One I remember when the rally review ended it was their logo at the end and the soundtrack was nicely chosen too. Good times.

I remember that the FIA had to organize coverage on a rally-by-rally basis, at least for the first part of the season

Alongside the Promoter debacle was the implosion of the Mini WRC Team. Instead of Dani Sordo and Kris Meeke, it was just Sordo and a revolving door of pay drivers

ISC was originally owned by Bernie; they produced the coverage of many FIA series, including rallying.

Step 1: don't hire David Richards

The day I read an article about an FIA related change and there won’t be any quote from Ben Sulayem or a mention about Ben Sulayem in it, I’ll be a happy man.

Good. The current WRC Promoter is useless
