Brand new to the addiction… Gave a few snow bases a try as my first ever as I think they would compliment my Black Templars well.

Any tips/feedback to improve are appreciated!

I've often seen folks in this subreddit and others wistfully wishing the The Black Library, Citadel, or Games Workshop would bring back out of print books as "Print on demand" as it's now pretty simple and there are services offering this for quite cheap.

I wanted to read "Lion El'Jonson: Lord of the First", but have struggled to find any physical copies (I can't read digital). So... I bought the ebook, printed it as an A5 PDF and had a Print on Demand service make me a singular, personal use copy in hardback.

Including the ebook and delivery it cost me a little under £25, which is a tiny fraction of what it would cost to get a decent condition second hand copy off the internet. I've gone through the terms and conditions of the Black Library, and as far as I can tell this totally fine for their Terms of Use. I'd love to see this supported in some official capacity.

Title. I apologize if I am bragging any rules posting this.

So like the title say I had a game the other day and let just say it found it sad and a bit funny so how did he cheat i was play imperial guard him space marine the frist time i spotted him cheat in the game was turn one he shot my baneblade with a lascanon what he said was str 14 vs my armour of 13 so wounding me on 3+ when I told him lascanon are str 12 he said he had a special lascanon (if cheat it was still str12).

Next everytime he roll a d6 or d3 for numbers of attack he would fast roll it and say it was a 5 or 6, when I could see it was lower number.

Then all his weapons had a extra attack or str or ap or something, what i know the value of on the top of my head but everytime I brought it up all I got was "it a special version of the weapons" what he never showed me in his rule.

So anyone else got a funny cheater story

I brought this up several time how he got thing wrong but he just ignored me half way through round 2 when I realised he not listening and he was going to continue to cheat I just through i see how much he cheat lie or bullshit his army.

After the game he won (if wounder how) he was try yo give me pointer on how to get better and such after he left i when and talk to someone of my friends about they and we agreed it was a little sad to cheat in a friendly game but it was funny how bad he was at hiding it.

Edit In the end i did tell the store about him they said he only been going to the store for a week or two and I was his first game they said they keep a eye on him and ban him if he continues

I've been playing Warhammer since 9th edition. And while I've enjoyed 10th (65 games played) I've always missed the more "tedious" parts of older editions. I recently played a few small scale games of 4th, and it's the best fun I've ever had. From the army building to the special rules in battle, something crazy is always going on. The game just feels less "esportsy" Has anyone else had this feeling with 10th?

It takes me around 30 mins to build a single standard infantry model like a krieg combat engineer with shotgun

It feels very slow when I see online people saying they built a box in an hour or 2 when in that time I would have 2 or 4 models built

Plus how do you avoid cutting into the model and leaving a dent when removing sprue connection points with a knife

I’ve been working on and off with this guy for about a week, I finally just tried to get it all done last night, how did I do? I was really trying to go for the Grimdark with this one btw.

I’ve been subbed since day 1 only for the minis really. But it felt like during the first two years they would have regular animations which were interesting. I believe we are on year 4 maybe 5 and frankly in the last year or two it feels like there has barely been anything on that front. I tried to look at their old books in their library but the fact they purposely removed all rules from them really ticked me off because I wanted to see the old games and read about how to play them.

I felt like at least at first they were trying to make it about more than just the minis but at this point I don’t think there is anything but the minis. What am I missing? And I get they make the same content YouTubers do and put it behind a paywall but I am not interested in that.
