Sold [WTS] Grand Seiko SBGW001 (the GS Calatrava, manual wind, creamy beige dial)

Asking $1700, CONUS preferred, insured shipping included
- Watch is on a tan large-scale alligator that looks great + a new pedestrian black calf strap
- Has original papers from Japan (this is from when they were JDM only) – this watch was superseded by the SBGW031 (sapphire caseback, extended power reserve) and currently the SBGW231 (single GS only branding) – this is the original classic version for those that prefer a closed case back with the GS lion
- In excellent condition, no dings, just the usual swirls that are unavoidable on the GS high polish, lots of pictures for you to see condition as well
- Solid caseback with the Grand Seiko Lion hiding the Caliber 9S54, running at -8 to -10 per day, which for me is just fine on an occasional worn dress watch, winds like butter
- Diameter 37.3mm, Thickness 11.4mm, with a dual-curved box shaped sapphire crystal with inside AR coating, beautiful beige dial, drilled lugs with a 19mm lug width

- From previous owner, who purchased the watch in Japan in December 2024 - There are 3 imperfections that I noticed on the dial. 1. Light stain below 11 marker. 2. Spec of dirt/dust above “E” in Seiko. 3. On the 9 Marker there appears to be a smudge. I honestly would have trouble seeing these, and I have added the alligator strap and the GS case to the mix. I’ve owned a version of this watch 4 times, and may yet do so again!

LOL - I would suggest the secret has long been out, at least in the WIS (Watch Idiot Savant) communities, and that price (and perhaps a reliable/known seller) sells everything!
