Recommendation To the legends that put me onto Lonesome Dove. I appreciate you!
This really is western masterpiece, just glorious storytelling, deep, subtle, grounded in reality. Incredible.
You guys love it?

Of course there are many great westerns out there, but none quite the same flavor as Lonesome Dove. It stands above most stories imo. However, my other favorite westerns are “The Good the Bad and the Ugly,” “Dances with Wolves,” “True Grit,” the “Hateful Eight” and “No Country for Old Men”

Yeah Lonesome Dove is absolutely something special and a cut above the rest. Thanks for your picks, nice choices!

It’s a good show, and the novel is still 1,000x better. Wish I could read it again for the first time.

Comanche Moon is close to Lonesome Dove. Streets of Laredo is good. Dead Man's Walk is decent.

The sequels are very good, too. I have seen all of them. Tubi has them. They are worth watching.

Absolutely! I think its my favorite. I love all of the LD movies. I have seen all of them on Tubi. I do have the collectors CD. And I watch it often. 🤣
