What did I just see on my phone screen?

Post image

I just picked up my phone and the screen was black with some kind of white gauges and information display (large circular type gauge on the left and some other smaller things on the right).

All the info on the screen (in white) turned red and then disappeared as I touched the home button.

This all happened in the space of a second, so I was pressing the home button as I was registering what I was seeing, not giving me enough time to get a look at the info. I’ve attached a pic of a car dashboard as it’s the closest thing I can find to represent what I saw.

Anyone have any ideas what this could have been? I’ve googled but to no avail. I have a old iPhone SE for info.

TIA!

Thank you it absolutely could have been that! I’ve never seen it before but it fits the bill 🙂

iPhones do this sometimes when it’s on its side for a minute, I believe it’s a night clock?

Thank you, I think you’re right, by chance I’ve never stumbled across it before 🙂

And this is why Reddit is brilliant, thanks for solving for me so quickly. Just I suspected, I am in fact, an idiot and did not stumble across the back end of Apple, or witness a glitch in the Matrix 😂

It’s called nightstand mode I believe. Plug phone in and turn it on its side (maybe in sleep mode idk) and it turns to a dim clock. You can edit the layout and colors of the clock.

It looks like the dash of someone's car.

Underneath you see Shutterstock. Thats a place for pictures. I think you accidentally googled a dashboard of a car.
