Open Song from the 80‘s with weird sound
I‘m looking for a song that from the sound I‘d wager is from the 80‘s. I believe it‘s an instrumental but I‘m not sure. The lead instrument is some kind of synthetic jungle-flute. At least that’s the best description I can give it. This i my best attempt at recreating the melody: https://voca.ro/1b4LTOInr0Bz
Edit: Just wanna reiterate that I‘m not certain it’s actually from the 80‘s. Neither that it’s actually a synthetic flute- the synths have a kind of „pressed“ quality in their tones that remind me of pan flutes or a blown bottle. It’s nothing like a nice clear whistle from a recorder. Sound is kinda upbeat and relatively fast
Edit: Ok, found it. Was way if my Mark in terms of time of release and choice of instruments and pretty much everything else, but it’s „El gigante del Hierro“ by „Grupo Sonador“

The base rythm is kinda similar but it’s definitely not a marching cadence. That’s just me being a bad singee

Could it be Yaz/Yazoo - Only You or possibly The Art Of Noise - Moments In Love

Could it be Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull? There are a lot of instrumental sections.

I just rewatched the video for fun and it's even creepier than I remembered. The legs are the creepiest part, but the whole thing is downright disturbing!

My gut feeling is that it might be Enigma - Sadeness Part II based on the flutey synth description.

There is an instrumental version of Save a Prayer by Duran Duran which fits the bill but probably not upbeat enough....

oxygene pt 2 by jean-michel jarre
starts off fast but at around 3:30 the flutes get the sort of pan pipe, blown bottle quality you mentioned

Not a flute, but the melody sounds a bit like “San Jacinto,” by Peter Gabriel
