It might be a cover or rendition but I know this tune and I can't figure it out

So in the beginning of "I'm so sorry" by imagine dragons the guitar reminds me so strongly of a song and I cannot take it. I've asked my father who knows what I'm talking about but doesn't remember the name. The part making me think of the song is the very beginning guitar. I know that Kung fu panda sampled it but that's not what I'm talking about. If you can recall any songs that sound similar or maybe even sampled I'm so sorry? I don't even know because it sounds so familiar and it's driving me insane.

Hello been trying to find a song, from what I can remeber it was between that time frame where emo/punk was pretty popular. The song and band I cannot remember, but what details I can remember. Theres a guy who rides like a kids but to a girls house the guy has the typical emo haircut parted half of his face, he rides to a girls house, her room is all pink and white mainly pink. He is trying to get her attention, then ends up writting something on there drive way and guy gets back on his bike and rides away, and she finally sees what he wrote.
