i used to come after every payday when i had a job in high school and whenever i could afford to go crazy there was never anything new and when i was broke they had everything of my wildest dreams lol. i get 3 paychecks this month and this one is my fuck around paycheck, they had 5 records and a CD i wanted so i went a little crazy finally and it was cathartic lol

Is it like Rhino in Montclair where they buy old records at face value???

They will offer you an insultingly low amount for anything of value (will refuse 40% of what you bring)

That’s their business model, do you expect them to go into business to lose money?

I used to go in there in the 80s and early 90s; the place was awesome, not only did they have vinyl everywhere. They also had some of the best posters around.

I used to practically live there as a kid. I found so much new music from their used records.

i’ll pay whatever keeps them in business, uptown is losing stores left and right

That’s the whole point, if they had better prices, audiophiles and crate diggers would flock there. I understand. I’m not cold hearted. We need Whittier to keep their businesses.

Pennylane had a great selection back in the day.
