Discussion Ride Circuit

Curious how everyone’s rides have been going with the electric shuttles. Yesterday we took one to Rodeo 72, but when we tried to leave, we kept getting bumped back in the queue. At one point, we had been waiting 20 minutes, the ride was showing just 2 minutes away, and then it suddenly jumped back to over 20 minutes.

I think theyre trying to bump it up to 6 cars.

I think its a commendable project, one of the few good things Whittier’s government has done recently. Its tempting to make it like a cheaper on-demand rideshare, but I think itd be better off in a kind of loop shuttle type system. To augment the bus lines that barely run around here. Uptown Parking lots to the hiking trails to the Groves, Kaiser, maybe the Quad and back.

Yeah it’s difficult to find parking near the trails. I love the ride circuit and glad it’s popular just hope they work out the kinks. Also I think Whittier needs pools like La Mirada has, it would be packed

We have the aquatic center on washington blvd, palm park, and the gyms and ymcas. Agree that more would be even better though.

Thanks I’ll look these up! The one in La Mirada has a spa and greenery, relaxing feel not just concrete. $4 entrance fee. Gyms and YMCA are expensive and don’t allow guests.

OK, just looked up the aquatic center at Palm Park and it looks like it’s $4 for only 50 minutes and no hot tub, but I still check it out today, also you have to register to attend and you have to pay online, the other one is very walk welcome and you could just pay the four dollars cash

It took too long for me. If im not saving time, I'd rather just drive and look for parking and get to whatever im doing.

I’ve taken it quite a few times. They only have like 2 or 3 going at a time and I think the drivers have discretion if they want to accept more people if they are on the way. This might add extra stops before they get to you.

I’m not sure exactly how their app works on their end but I think they are trying to pick up as many people as possible.

My driver yesterday was saying Fridays and Saturdays are always the busiest for them.

No luck getting a driver so far, but I’ve only tried on the weekend evenings

I’ve had good luck, but I’ve only done it once!

Pretty nice around uptown. Used it 5 times with quick arrivals every time.

I’ve ridden it twice but the other time someone else was using the app
