What’s the plan with the new Medicaid cuts?

Has the bill been amendmed? Those changes are brutal

We haven't amended the bill yet. We would have to re-introduce the bill to change it as our legislative session goes through 2026. It will have to be amended at some point. Washington is projected to lose 19% of it's Medicaid funding.

What is needed to replace the funding? And will it cover long term care expansion?

We need around 4 Billion per year in increased funding to cover the gap. For our bill, this would require around 20% more money collected. It would likely come from a higher assessment on payroll.
