That was a really good spot that ABC did. Just the absolute fucking silence from leadership on this whole thing is fucking ridiculous. The public needs to know the ramifications that this is going to have. Especially since it sounds like Elmo and the administration isn’t done with the firings yet.

It’s so cute how these bootlickers love America so much that they’ll increase unemployment of the most underpaid and overworked workforce in the country by the thousands, while simultaneously endangering the lives and economic natural resources of tens of millions.

I am so proud to be American.

This is so based

Stop with the overworked/underpaid... fact is you chose your career path. Be pissed at your coworkers who voted to put Trump back in office. We knew what he was going to do, yet some federal government employees voted for him anyway. Sometimes, you have to take everything down in order for folks to realize the ramifications of voting for someone like Trump.

That pulls at my heart strings man. If you’re a die hard Trump supporter please show us that you’re a god damn human. Tell me you don’t agree with every decision this man is making. For god sakes get off your knees and pull MAGA out of your mouth.

Look at the forest service employees Facebook group. It’s a bunch of people that retired before the movie ratatouille came out telling us we are all weak and lazy.

I saw it on live tv during presidential debate: Q: “Do you condemn white supremacy”

Trumps answer: “All right boys stand by and stand down”

That’s the moment I realized the kind of man he is. A simple yes is the correct answer.

I think that doge is doing a good job. Alternatively we could just let the country go bankrupt…how many would lose their job if that happens?

This is an excellent video. Glad to see it. This whole slash and burn operation on the Feds is so cruel, short sighted, and dangerous. So much willful ignorance to how the wildfire response system works. So many people are needed every year: permanents, seasonals, and non-fire folks who are also fire qualified as part of the militia. Also other sciences are integral to wildfire management and vice versa. All the foresters and ologists matter as the ecological system is just that, a system. A should be managed as such.

Obviously the repercussions are very bad for the public.

There is a good point made in the movie about how these good folks didn’t get into this line of work for the money. Yet, they take pride in the hardwork they do in often brutal conditions.

I would love to see some of the DOGE folks try to work with a shot crew for one single day.

Who directed the agency to do it? 🤔

-93

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 21 '25

The administration.

AKA THEIR BOSS

Its like you are commenting and REEEEEEEing at anything you read while having zero clue how things actually work.

Do better.

u/DamiensDelight Feb 21 '25

You do know that you aren't supposed to be eating the warming packs inside the MREs, don't you?

-17

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 21 '25

Brilliant reply!! No counter argument based on facts, just personal attacks.

THIS is why everyone thinks firefighters are stupid FYI.

13

u/OttoOtter Feb 21 '25

Unfortunately no one really knows what role Musk and his teens are playing. Trump himself can’t even decide.

18

u/AdeptDisasterr Feb 21 '25

Is DOGE not part of the administration? Trump is too busy threatening Panama and Greenland to be the one directing agencies to fire people.

-2

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 22 '25

Sorry I assumed someone in fire understood the chain of command works and their place in it.

Show me where DOGE has any authority over any agency. Dont worry, I'll wait.

The REALITY is that DOGE functions in an advisory position, with the support of the president, and is making recommendations that Department and Agency heads are following.

If you want to yell at anyone, yell at Randy Moore for throwing everyone under the bus to save his own ass.

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 22 '25

Downvote because you have no factual reply.

SIGH reddit is so sadly devoid of intelligent discourse.

0

u/tittyface Feb 21 '25

Obviously the administration, but let’s be real we didn’t have doge last time around. Don’t play coy, dummy

0

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 22 '25

SO aside from the weak attack you are confirming I am correct?

26

u/Agreeable_Finding417 Feb 21 '25

Ah yes the classic maggat. The only thing they believe are the words of a lying sack of shit. Everything that doesn’t fits trumps agenda is “fake news” Nothing wrong with coming up with your own thoughts, you can do it my little buddy!

9

u/stumpshot Feb 21 '25

I fear that he and others like him have swallowed so many cumshots, their brains are mostly gop jizz at this point.

-3

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 21 '25

You are projecting.

-6

u/Appropriate_Part_465 Feb 21 '25

I mean people believed victoria nuland about her role in the coup in Ukraine even though there's audio of her selected the new cabinet to be installed a month before the coup took place, as a libertarian I think you're both kinda dumb 🤷 nordstream, biden pardons, 8 bil left in afghanistan, collusion with tech companies to silence free speech, usaid giving funding to Wuhan lab, gain of function lies, 51 intel officials lying for biden, I mean you see why people don't take you super serious when you play the one side game? Yall both belong in a dumpster lmao

1

u/sbeven7 Feb 21 '25

Lmao sure bud. Victoria Nuland and her magical cookies that made Yanukovich run away to Russia

0

u/Appropriate_Part_465 Feb 21 '25

You mean the cia backed midon coup? Not sure nazis eat cookies but if you spend enough time defending them maybe they'll give you some

2

u/sbeven7 Feb 21 '25

Yes revolutions make strange bed fellows. But Ukraine has had several elections since then, and never had anymore Nazis than every other European country.

Kinda interesting how hung up you are on a few far-right nationalists even though Euromaidan was the largest post USSR protest movement/revolution and one of the most successful. Is "midon" how Maidan is spelled in Russian?

-1

u/Appropriate_Part_465 Feb 21 '25

How many European countries have special forces brigades of nazi sympathizers? Asking for a friend? I can't wait to hear the explanation for this.

2

u/sbeven7 Feb 21 '25

Are you talking about Azov? They aren't special forces. And they purged the nazis as a condition for Western aid. This is all old news

In the beginning before the West started sending aid yeah there were some nazis. When you're invaded by a much larger nation, who has zero regard for human life, you take whoever will hold a gun and walk towards the lines.

-3

u/Appropriate_Part_465 Feb 21 '25

They absolutely are not purged, I have actual friends in Ukraine and that's about as convincing as Israel's claims they haven't been murdering children by the thousands, just ignore everything you see, trust us.

I give yall about 4 years before you're giving a standing ovation to a decorated nazi cause he said something bad about trump 🤣🤣🤣 you guys fell a long way from the 70s

-3

u/Appropriate_Part_465 Feb 21 '25

Oh so when it's a 2014 obama administration state department official and usaid/cia it's "strange bed fellows". Holy fuck the mental gymnastics is platinum tier. Hopefully you represent ukraine at the next Olympics.

2

u/sbeven7 Feb 21 '25

Do you think every one of the Euromaidan protestors was a nazi?

0

u/Appropriate_Part_465 Feb 21 '25

Are you saying nazis weren't used by the us state department to out a democratically elected Russian neutral government in favor of a pro nato stooge? And if course not 100% were nazis but the metric for "nazi" isn't what it used to be according to the left so maybe everyone was a nazi 🤷‍♂️ can't have it both ways, if you were taking part in a anti Russian pro nazi movement what would you call yourself?

1

u/Agreeable_Finding417 Feb 21 '25

You know, I don’t disagree with you. If there was another option I’m all for it. Don’t mistake my distain for Trump as support for Biden.

-6

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 21 '25

Yet you would readily support the enemy of Americans because it helps your bottom line.

There are other jobs, and frankly, this may be doing a favor to a lot of firefighters.

But getting in bed with biden/harris level corrupt crooks because "muh job" just makes you an objectively shitty person and a shitty American.

6

u/Agreeable_Finding417 Feb 21 '25

And getting in bed with corrupt crooks like Trump and Elon is your idea of being a better American? I support the crooks that support me, you support the crooks that want to take your job. I think that makes you a cuck American.

2

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 22 '25

LOL here we go with cuck talk again.

You really need to stop projecting.

-1

u/YOLO_Bundy Feb 21 '25

Feel free to refute what I said with facts.

So far all you have are personal attacks.

Feel better now? Ironic your type calls conservatives "bullys" while readily using bullying tactics to get your way.

7

u/Agreeable_Finding417 Feb 21 '25

If a snake strangles a rat, do you blame the snakes body or the snakes head?

1

u/UmpirePirate Feb 22 '25

I’m in the trenches with you Bundy. Been in the forest service, nps, blm, contractor for usda, and various other organizations. Got out because a lot of these places were flooded with a sub standard work force. No one wants to debate facts. And face reality. Workers get laid off, workers get rehired. The federal government isn’t your babysitter. I hope the standards for all fed employment is raised, for everyone. And better people are rehired. Hopefully people with a strong enough constitution yo not be such criers

-7

u/Appropriate_Part_465 Feb 21 '25

I get some people feel personally attacked but I simultaneously don't understand how you can work for the state/federal gov and not see the blatant parasites (not all of course) that do exist in those spheres.

It's basically just like college, they hired immeasurable administrative staff, the cost of college went way up and the quality flat lined. I personally don't like paying more for literally nothing.

Reddit in my opinion is mostly a left wing confirmation bias 🤷‍♂️

While the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) “may not have direct hiring and firing authority”, it can still play a crucial role in employment decisions. DOGE can influence staffing through budget controls, efficiency mandates, performance reviews, and policy recommendations that agencies must adhere to. If an agency fired someone, it could very well be due to DOGE’s pressure, guidelines, or restructuring initiatives. To suggest DOGE has no role in these decisions ignores the broader influence it wields over agency operations and workforce management.

The administration can maintain plausible deniability regarding its influence over hiring and firing decisions by deflecting responsibility onto individual agencies while still exerting indirect control through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—a play on both Elon Musk’s association with Dogecoin and bureaucratic oversight.

1. Structural Separation – The administration can claim that DOGE itself does not have direct hiring or firing authority, as those decisions formally rest with individual agencies. This allows them to distance themselves from any controversial personnel actions.
2. Policy and Budgetary Influence – While DOGE may not directly terminate employees, it can implement efficiency mandates, funding restrictions, and performance evaluations that force agencies to downsize or restructure, effectively compelling them to make cuts while shielding the administration from blame.
3. Delegated Decision-Making – If an agency fires someone under DOGE-driven reforms, the administration can argue that it was a decision made solely by the agency, even if the broader policy environment created by DOGE made the firing inevitable.
4. Public Messaging and Spin – Officials can point to the formal authority of agencies to make employment decisions while downplaying or outright denying any behind-the-scenes pressure from DOGE, ensuring plausible deniability in case of backlash.

Ultimately, this sallows the administration to enforce efficiency-driven policies that lead to job losses while avoiding direct accountability for those terminations.
