After reading this, if you’re not Union already, you should immediately fix that. And if your forest isn’t Union and someone’s trying to organize your forest and you’re still thinking about it, this should remove all doubt.

NFFE is worthless

Remove all doubt? My only doubt is where the Union was at when employees were getting terminated for not taking an experimental drug.

Oh, right, the Union took the side of AGENCIES against actual EMPLOYEES.

Fuck these unions.

No one got fired for not taking the vaccine. There were threats, but it never happened. Also kinda hard to grieve against something that isn’t spelled out in the master agreement at all

Are you SURE?

DOD fired a shit ton of people, as did many other departments. How many departments employ firefighters? How many personnel were fired because of the illegal vax mandates?

How much stress did employees endure because of organizational pressure to take an experimental medication? Is that commensurate to the stress currently encountered by fear of losing a job?

I dunno...I would rather have my health and no job than a job and bad health.

Hard to grieve? An illegal order is an illegal order. The union told me "our layers think it is legal, so are not going to bother fighting" (paraphrased.) My reply? GET BETTER LAWYERS.

Apparently I was correct because the 5th circuit struck it down eventually prior to the administration rescinding the order.

Case in point, people are claiming "illegal firings" despite the fact the Executive holds the authority to fire Executive branch employees.

Do I need to spell out the irony of employees backing the illegal vax mandate while opposing the "illegal firings"?

NONE of you were backing those who opposed the illegal vax mandate, union included, yet now you want support. Oh the IRONY.

No one in any land management agency was fired. Which on a sub about wildfire is pretty accurate to say. There’s nothing in the master agreement about vaccines, but there is about probation. I would engage more, but based of your blasting of this post, you’re pretty insufferable in general haha

People’s job were threatened. People felt the same way people feel now. But the Union is not sitting around waiting for the RIFs to happen, they are being local and proactive.

It does not have to be in the mater agreement, it was an illegal order made under threat of termination. The 5th circuit agreed.

If you cannot see the similarities then you are a fool.

FUCK NFFE
