Feature Which Windows is best for my PC?

Hi, My system specs are: • H310 • Intel Core i3-9100F • 16GB DDR4 RAM • RX 580 8GB • 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD

I’d like to know which version of Windows would be the best choice for me.

My usage is pretty casual: playing games that my system can handle, downloading and watching movies/TV shows, light web browsing, and listening to music with an iFi Nano iDSD amp/DAC + HiFiMan Sundara headphones using Spotify, foobar2000, and Equalizer APO + Peace.

Which Windows version would you recommend?

  1. Support for 10 is ending and your system is new enough to run 11.

That is, unless you're aggressively against using 11.

your processor is officially supported by win11. While win10 would be good enough for you, I'd recommend win11 since it's been 3 years since launch and most of the quirks have been ironed out. Also, win11 has some gaming improvements over win10. Not to mention, it's better to setup your pc with win 11 now than having to troubleshoot everything down the line when you do decide to upgrade.

windows 11 is under cooked at best. since their updates run the risk of bricking something important. saves them money when its not their equipment at risk to test updates.

I have a reasonably technical opinion, if such a thing exists:

  1. Intel Celeron N1000 to N2000 processors: Windows 7 or 8.1;

  2. Intel Pentium processors: Windows 8.1;

  3. 1st and 2nd Generation Intel Core processors: Windows 7 or 8.1;

  4. 4th to 11th Generation Intel Core processors: Windows 10;

  5. 12th Generation and later Intel processors: Windows 11.

Windows 95

Just kidding.. Just install the latest you can run. Which seems like it will be 11.
