Question Why are people so mean here
I'm not sure where to post this, but yesterday, I (17f) posted a picture of wings I airfryed on the subreddit. Most of the comments were rude like "I'd order pizza instead" or "Why does everything have to be photographed" even though I took a picture to SHARE (keyword is share lol) to everyone hoping for at least positive feedback to improve on.
Keep in mind this isn't the first time I posted wings on here and received negative comments. Last year, I posted wings from Miller's ale house and rated them a 10/10 because I liked them. Everyone started saying that they looked nasty or why they didn't order this or that instead of unnecessary stuff like that. There were some positive comments and one that said, "At least you liked them, I'm not sure why people are being rude."
Yesterday I tried again thinking maybe this time people would be nice, but no. I guess this subreddit isn't for me? Which sucks because my favorite food is wings.
Anwways, on the bright side, there was 1 positive comment, which I did appreciate and thanked them for being nice. Just thought I shared my experience with the subreddit, I love this subreddit, but I'll be taking a break from here for days or weeks.
Thanks for listening ❤️
Update: You all have helped me realize that my last post was a little unappetizing with the plate and the eaten wing. I totally understand why some people were rude, but they could've said nothing instead. I deleted the post, so it doesn't really matter anymore, and I'm going to try to be more professional with the next one.
Update: I made a new post!! Hopefully, it's better than last time...

Question How do we feel about wings out of a pizza oven?
My friend started a weekly Pizza Pop Up and the first week’s special were these Vietnamese Wings. I’ve only had wings from a pizza oven a few times, but I really like this cooking technique.
What’s the general consensus on this subreddit? Do wings have to be fried?

Question Is Wingstop shit? Or was it just the one I went to?
I (a Canadian, we don't have Wingstop) was in mexico city and saw a Wingstop and wanted to try it. It was shit, like absolute shit, we couldn't even finish everything it was bad, particularly the extra fried wings which had this huge tasteless hard layer. So I want to know if it's Wingstop as a whole or just the one I went to?

Question Teeny, tiny wings!
I really like my butcher but he only offers small wings or jumbo. Where can I go to find decent size wings that aren't gross? Are the ones made by Tyson or any other grocery store brand OK? Thanks so much.

Question Would wings be weird to sub for instead of a birthday cake?
Big question here I LOVE wings. All types especially spicy though. And I’m over here thinking ‘man for my birthday I want a giant bucket of wings!’ All different flavors too but I wonder would that be a bit overkill especially for my guests? Need a WINGman on this Wololo.
Question Leftover Wings
I’ve always preferred my leftover wings straight out of the fridge. Generally, this happens on a night like tonight where I eat them at 2am while standing in my kitchen.
So I’m wondering, do you prefer hot or cold for leftovers?

Question Crispy wings pre sauced?
I'm cooking chicken wings tonight and my wife bought fresh wings for when I get off work. Here's what I'm wondering, she bought uncooked wings but they are already coated in sauce ready for the BBQ but my plan was to air fry or bake them with corn starch to crisp them up. Is my only way to get this outcome now to wipe them clean and sprinkle on corn starch?

Question Best Wings Near Ithaca, NY… go!!
I notice there are a lot of Upstate NYers (or visitors) on this sub. Makes sense given how awesome the wings are ‘round these parts. I’d love to crowdsource recs near Ithaca, as I’m new to the area and hoping to discover some hidden gems. Willing to travel an hour or so!

Question Best Seasoning Tray Solution?
Maybe an odd post, but I am 100% hooked on wings ever since learning about the vortex method and the techniques to achieving smoky, crispy skin wings. I find myself cooking chicken wings 3-4 times a week, and I can't get enough. Often times I am doing different seasonings on some of the wings while also making standard SPG wings for everyone else at the same time. Where I'm struggling though is I don't have a lot of room in my kitchen to breakdown enough wings to feed my family, AND seasoning them without making a mess or a stack of dishes.
Question is, what are you guys using to breakdown, and season with various seasonings with minimal dishes/cleanup?
I've considered one of those collapsible BBQ tubs, but I'm afraid those don't come in large enough of a size. My dream would be to have a dedicated outdoor butcher block prep table like ChudsBBQ has, but the budget doesn't allow for anything like that at the moment..

Question Wing for thought?
Help me understand please..
No matter how many wings I make, they seem to disappear before I can store them for later. How do I make wings that are delicious but not SO GOOD that they get eaten faster than the flash? And at that point is it even really worth it if they aren't the best they can be?

Question Roasted wings
Idk about the US but in europe(germany italy austria and some other places) a lot of the grocery stores have a section of cooked foods and sometimes you can find chicken wings/drumsticks. They are roasted not fried and they have a very special taste and seasoning and they arent covered in sauces either. I really like that taste and have wondered what they put in it so i can make it at home too. Do you know?

Question Looking for suggestions
I got into making my own wings the last few months after wing prices seem to keep rising and I discovered that there aren't many wing places near where I just moved to. I figured out the prep and cooking method to get them nice and crispy. Now it's time to tackle sauces. I'd like to start making my own sauces so if anyone has some recipes or tips on where to start, I'm all ears. Appreciate y'all!
Question How come traditional wing drumsticks lack a fibula?
I noticed that this bone exists in larger and rotisserie chicken, but when I get bone-in wings they don't have that secondary bone. TIA.
Question Jewel osco honey wings
Has anyone had the wings from Jewel. I think they are called honey wings? Mom used to bring a bucket every now and then but I think they stopped making them or change the recipe. Regardless I thought they were super good for grocery store. Very unique flavor
