Wait …. idk if he’s balancing on his sword or it’s a top angled view …. Food for thought?

I remember that someone once called me a fake fan because autocorrect changed Geralt to Gerald

u/PotrhlaSlecna 1d ago

Yeah, that's real.

Just in case someone calls me fake fan I have only the Witcher tattoos on my body to prove I am not.

IDK maybe you are a dedicated poser.

Trish and Jennifer are just stupid, but Geralt is referred to as Gerald at least a couple of times in the early books for some reason

Are you talking about the translation or the original polish?

Translation, I don’t know Polish

It’s only a couple of times, but I’d need to go and get the book out to give you a full quote

Okey, so I think that it might be the case only in the translation. I have read the books in their original language and I don’t recall any moment in which Geralt would be called Gerald. Although I might be wrong, it was a while since I’ve read them.

There were parts like that. I dont remeber the specifics, but I think it was used a few times, as people mireading/hearing his name as Gerald.

u/Sensoryzm 1d ago

That would make sense, thank you

It's a deliberate gag.

Sometimes autocorrect will change Geralt to Gerald, super annoying

It’s not me! It’s my autocorrect changing writers around that I didn’t grow! Ok, maybe not sprocket, but it’s the swipe keyboards fair!

Mhmm that was my phone screwing up my swiping. It was supposed to read:

It’s not me! It’s my autocorrect changing words around that I didn’t type! Ok, maybe not autocorrect, but it’s the swipe keyboard’s fault!

Let’s try others.

Geralt = gestalt Triss = truss Yennefer = tender

😂

Is this Epistle 3 all over again?

It's now often done on purpose to mess with people but it started out as spell check changing to a more popular name. Although one should proof read posts many people don't.

1

u/rockinalex07021 1d ago

That means the autocorrect took over

u/satanic_black_metal_ 1d ago

Has that ever actually happened? Because i desperately want to read that post.

Today (and not just today) I've seen some comments discussing the love triangle under a few posts which inspired me to make the meme. 😃
