Not the worst pick but idk. Probably some better ones out there too. I like Tom Hardy in his other stuff

He’d be good, but he probably would want to wear something over his mouth and do a weird accent

At first, I was trying to imagine what Hardys version of a 200 year old Albertan accent would sound like. Then I imagined his character in The Revenant and the boys from Letterkenny

u/thethunder92 5d ago
Haha I’m an Albertan and that’s hilarious
I’m imagining him wearing a hard hat and drinking a monster and asking his friend if he can “spare a dart bud”

I really wish they would lean into his hoserness more, like he talks about being Canadian all the time, let's hear him sound like it

I would like to see Daniel Radcliffe or Taron Egerton to try. At least Daniel would look nice like young Logan.

I saw Jared Keeso as a casting suggestion for Wolverine just recently. And I honestly can't stop thinking about it. I think that could be amazing.

Oh yeah I agree. If he got cast back then instead of Hugh it could have been great. Turns out the casting agents knew what they were up though, as we all know how Hugh's run turned out.

Hes such a bad actor though, imagine the crappy accents he uses for characters and what we would have used for Logan. I used to think he was ok, until I saw venom, he was absolutely terrible.

He's very capable of being a good actor. However, he now often seems to choose big pay checks for minimum work and seems to resent even that.
It's referenced a lot, but Bronson remains proof that he can turn in an amazing performance - when he wants to. I don't think anyone can watch that and say that he's terrible.

You dont need to explain that he's a good actor.
He's not trying to put in any award performances anymore but saying he's a bad actor is a braindead statement.
I concur on Bronson being his best performance. Absolutely magnetic in that film

Right there with you. Watching him play venom has made me not want to see him in anything ever again 😂

He is a good candidate, although now he's more suitable for a Old Man Logan version, but I think he could have had a good run if Jackman never was cast.
You should have included some Tom Hardy as Wolverine fan-art pics alongside the pic you posted. It would help others see him as the character. There's some good options to choose from.

I absolutely love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine but still believe Tom could be the best.

Maybe, but the next Wolverine actor will likely be younger so that Disney can sign them for longer. Tom Hardy is nearly 50 and said the Venom role kicked his ass, I doubt he’ll play another superhero.

Too old now but when rumblings started happening about Jackman retiring, Tom Hardy was one of the front runners to take over.

He would nail it now
Wolverine was created to look like a 50 year old man
But doesnt want to

Imagine pulling up to the BJJ competition and seeing that bane is your opponent

I said that when they considered replacing Jackman after Logan, Hardy would be a great wolverine

Why stop at Wolverine? If you’re gonna pull off one superhero, be nice and pull off the whole crew.

Not too late, but yea. Besides Clint Eastwood maybe, but he’s comically more accurate and definitely DEFINITELY would’ve been better than Hugh. And Hugh has been great.
I mean Tommy Riordan was Logan without claws essentially.

No worries mate, I agree that Mcgreggor would also be a bad pick for Wolverine! A younger Tom Hardy though would have made a great pick imo.

Would wolverine have a squeaky, stuffy-nosed Brooklyn accent?
Tom Hardy seems to have one American accent in his repertoire.

u/ConnectionIcy3717 6d ago
He would also probably have the funniest accent with a squeaky voice somehow 🤣🤣

u/NoSpecial284 5d ago
No way. I can’t stand this dudes take on venom. We would have goofy cringe wolverine.

Nah, Wolverine should be a Clint Eastwood type, not a rubber lipped Londoner.

if Hugh quit in 2010, sure
