Western politicians still hope for peace, while Putin kills people in their own beds. Who still believes that he wants peace? He is simply destroying cities far from the front line, showing that he has no intention of negotiating. The only way to stop him is by force.

The problem is, they're walking a thin line. Overtly speaking of sending troops there in any capacity, never mind actually sending troops, and much less actually providing air support and firepower, can be political suicide in countries where russophile conspiratorial morons gaining power is no longer far-fetched - and we are speaking of the two leading economies of the EU here. If that happens, what EU leadership is doing now will look positively amazing in comparison.

I still have to decide what I fear the most: a direct conflict with russia or having far-right and far-left government in Europe.

Well first off the Ottoman Empire 2.0 is literally inside the gates of the EU member nations. The next issue is why the 500 million+ members of the EU are still crying about 140 million Russians. The paralysis of the members is shocking.

Russia is constantly escalating the conflict. If Europe tries to get even it might make Russia back down. The problem is that the UN peacekeeping doesn't work (because of the constant vetoes) and an all-out war can start only if Russia attacks NATO members (because the alliance is defensive in nature). One of the best solutions is to continue to send supplies and money, while we reinforce to be ready for a near-future war. It's sad, but I don't think that we can have peace in our time if Russia doesn't change course.
