Miscellaneous Stay Whelmed and Code With Us! Help Build the #KeepYJAlive Website!

Hey guys!

Hope you’ve been well and staying whelmed  - especially with the news Greg shared at SDCC. That moment reminded us thatYoung Justice still has a future, and that fan support is going to be key in making it happen.

With SDCC out of the way, the team has been shifting into full gear to get everything ready for Phase 2 of the campaign. Right now we’re in a Phase 1.5 stage laying the groundwork, building our tools, and making sure everything is in place before the big push. One of the most important pieces we’re working on right now is our campaign website.

A little bit about me: besides being a huge fan of Young Justice, my day job is as a software engineer. So I thought: why not use those skills to help the fandom in a real way? This site will be our central hub for news, outreach info, and tools to make it easier than ever for fans to get involved and show their support and love for the show.

We are Looking for Volunteers to Help Build a Website!

I’m looking for 2-3 other developers to join me in building this site. We’ll keep it low-pressure, work as a small team, and share ideas openly. This is also a great resume builder if you want to showcase collaborative, mission-driven work with modern web tech.

We know everyone has lives, jobs, school, and other commitments - so we’re only asking for about 5 hours a month (just over 1 hour a week). Totally async, totally flexible.

Skills (Or Just a Willingness to Learn!)

You don’t have to be an expert - enthusiasm matters more than years of experience. Here’s what would be helpful:

  • Frontend: Basic understanding of Javascript with React.js or Next.js (bonus if you’ve tried Tailwind or similar)
  • Backend: Python basics. Knowledge of Django REST Framework/Flask or Node.js would be a plus!
  • Database: MongoDB or PostgreSQL
  • DevOps/Infra: GitHub, Docker, Vercel/Netlify, etc.

Even if you’re only confident in one area or just starting out but eager to learn you’re welcome.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, please fill out the interest form below. Let’s build something awesome together for this fandom and keepYoung Justice alive.

Fill out the interest form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSekwl9Xski3we3MNjYF3JhomLnJgFprpSWNeWEaK2r6kSLnjQ/viewform?usp=dialog

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop a comment below or DM me and I would happy to answer any questions!

I want again emphasize that this campaign is built by the fans for the fans. Everything we’re doing from watch parties to social pushes to this website comes from the passion of people who love this show and believe in its future. We’re not waiting for someone else to make it happen. We’re doing it ourselves, and we’d love for you to be part of that.

We will have other volunteer opportunities opening soon once phase 2 is launched where anyone can get involved so stay tuned on r/YoungJustce!

Let's build together!

Let's stay whelmed.

Theories/Future Thinking Who else would you like to see wield the Sword of Beowulf if it ever makes a return to the series?

The only thing you need to remember is that the sword can't be used by anyone who isn't pure of heart. Whether that be pure good or bad, hero or villain.

Miscellaneous Big News: #KeepYJAlive is Officially on Twitter/X!

Post image
Upvotes

Hey everyone!

Hope you’ve been whelmed!

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve noticed more and more fans on the subreddit stepping up, getting involved, and showing their support for #KeepYJAlive. We can’t emphasize enough how encouraging that’s been for all of us on the campaign team.

When we first started this campaign, we didn’t know what to expect. We only knew that Young Justice mattered to us, to this community, and to fans around the world. Over time, what began as a spark has grown into a movement. And it’s because of all of you.

Every upvote, every comment, every piece of fan art, every discussion here on the subreddit has shown how powerful this fandom can be when it comes together. You’ve proved that Earth-16 deserves more stories  and now, thanks to your energy, we’re ready to take the next big step.

Now, we’re officially launching our campaign presence on Twitter/X.

This is a huge milestone for the campaign. Twitter is where fans, creators, and studios keep their eyes on what’s trending, so having an official presence there makes our movement more visible and professional. It also means we can finally use #KeepYJAlive in its intended form, not just as a slogan within the subreddit, but as a true rallying cry across the fandom and beyond.

Our mission is simple:

To demonstrate to Warner Bros. Discovery that there is an active, passionate fanbase ready to support Young Justice and renew the show for Season 5 (and beyond). Earth-16 deserves more stories, and together we can make sure the show’s future stays alive.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Follow the account → twitter.com/KeepYJAlive
  • Retweet & share posts to spread the word beyond the subreddit
  • Use the hashtag #KeepYJAlive in your own tweets — every voice matters
  • Stay tuned for more updates, calls to action, and ways to support

They thought the story was over. But we know better.

Now, it’s our turn to fight for it.

And again, I can’t begin to emphasize enough: this campaign is built by the fans, for the fans. This community has been instrumental in keeping the spark alive, and together, we’ll make sure Earth-16’s story continues.

And rest assured: we will continue to post here on r/YoungJustice, because this is where it all began with the fans. This subreddit has been the foundation of our movement, and it will remain our home base as we push forward. We don’t ever forget our grass roots!

Let’s continue to fight the good fight!

Let’s Stay Whelmed!

Let’s #KeepYJAlive!

All Seasons Discussion These have to be the 2 moments that makes this show feel real!

These videos just show that superheroes and even Dick Grayson are just human and still have feelings, Young Justice is like the only animated show to highlight that.

I made this custom from an old figure (its the robot stickman that was trending on tiktok back then). I customize it based on the s1 design, not 100% accurate tho.

Season 3 Discussion Where the hell did this come from??? Spoiler

Post image

I'm watching this show for the first time currently, and just got to this scene. Since when were these two a thing?? Did they traumabond over Aquagirls death or something? At least i think that's the guy who dated her, isn't it? ( if it isn't, my bad) Did i miss another PS3 game that builds this up? Why does this show have so much stuff going on off screen? Like i don't mind giving Kaldur a BF but.. actually commit and show them getting together, instead of just throwing it into a Montage with no explanation.. did this seem out of nowhere to you guys too?

Theories/Future Thinking Jason & the Harpers

If we were to get more seasons and Jason finally appears formally do you think they would keep the Red Hood and Arsenal Friendship or have him be close with Will and Jim too, and it would be a great chance to know more about Jim and I could see Jason being an uncle to Lian and friends with Artemis

Season 4 Discussion Aside from pacing and slide shows I really like season 4

I liked the mars arc, and the last few arcs, though all of them have problems especially Atlantis. The 4th season seems to just randomly run out of money and slide show some cool bits, even the finale to the magic arc with The Stranger which felt really jarring on rewatch. It also felt like it didn’t know if it wanted to be an adults show or not which I felt like we left that behind when we kept melting and murdering halo last season. And by god kill forager or kill or kill foragers wife I don’t care for him anymore.

Tie-in/Companion Comic (Unrelated to 90s YJ) QUEEN Bee should have been able to control everyone there, even if the took "countermeasure"

The idea of them eating garlic and mind control help from Miss Martian is a very low effort way to solve this story.

All Seasons Discussion What changes would you have made to young justice. Should they have done something new.

It was fun though it didn't seem comic accurate. I liked what they did and the changes. I wish they didn't kill wally off though. He had so much potential. I guess they used superboy but like 2010’s superboy. Was there a reason why they used dick Grayson instead of Tim drake at the beginning.

Season 4 Discussion Weirdest Age Gap Ever Spoiler

Post image

Connor & M'Gaan's wedding.

It's not that weird because he's biologically ten, and mentally also ten, but he has the maturity and knowledge of someone in his 20s or 30s, and she's also biologically 58, but by Martian standards that probably around 25, since 48 is like 16.

Miscellaneous Annie in young justice?

Post image
59 Upvotes

Recently rewatched the show and really love how many characters are reinvented, like Halo. So I wanted to try a little thought experiment: how would you put Annie in Young Justice if you could? I know she is tied to Clayface in her only appearance, but I myself was thinking perhaps she could be something different.

My idea was that an experiment is run on a sample of a Lazarus pit, and it develops sentience, which turns into Annie.
Note: I'm not excessively knowledgeable about DC, so if I said something wrong, I apologize.

Season 4 Discussion It occurred to me Impulse possibly caused the events of Young Justice Phantom

With the Justice League and The Team killed in his timeline, the Legion likely was never formed without Superboy's inspiration.

With this, two options:

1) With the last kriptonians dead, the tech of the Phantom Zone was lost forever. The kriptonian prisons were never found, and spent eternity trapped in there.

2) The Phantom Zone was discovered, and likely unleashed Zod into an universe without protectors. If that's the option, The Expanse likely saved the universe by messing Earth so badly it made Impulse change the timeline, in a wibbly wobbly way

Season 1-2 Discussion A Young Justice Version of Better Call Saul, Method-Wise.

… I would love if they did a season for each year between 2010 and 2016, as a prequel show. Or series- I’d love if a fan wrote it as a fanfic.

Now, Invasion was a good season- not my favorite in terms of storytelling method, but it had a good story in terms of arc. I would love if they could go from the end of Season One to detail what happened between that season and Invasion, because it would probably help to “fix” aspects of Invasion that seemed rushed, because of its shorter episode order. I make the Better Call Saul comparison because what that did was fill in aspects of Breaking Bad that were open for exploration. And being that Young Justice kind of info-dumped things during Invasion, it’d be cool to see them show, not tell.

Thoughts, anyone?

Theories/Future Thinking Not sure if this has been discussed but: something I would have liked to see/would like to see Spoiler

Post image
40 Upvotes

Jason Todd.

Obviously we start the show with Dick as Robin, and he graduates to Nightwing later, with Tim taking up the Robin mantle. We see Jason's holograms with the others, but no information if it was the comic storyline with the Joker, or something else.

But then we see one of the League of Shadows recruits who recognised Dick, ans Ra's said something about his memory coming back.

Red Hood would be a fun story for the Team to deal with. Obviously Nightwing and Robin are going, but Superboy has experience with the rage Jason is likely feeling, and mental conditioning (Cadmus for Conner, Shadows for Jason), and Roy knows about being essentially dead and being brought back to find you've been replaced. And since he chilled out a lot, he's more equipped to talk about it.

It could make for a fun arc, and I'd just like some resolution for something they hinted at but never did anything with. I don't think Jason would join the Team, but he could be on call if needed

Theories/Future Thinking Quick Theory! Spoiler

Guys I have a Theory about Wally!

Major spoilers for s2 ahead!!!

The Wallman Himself

Is it possible that season 2 episode 20 where Wally “dies” has to represent the fight with Abra Kadabra where Wally got trapped in the Speed Force in a way, just like Roy’s story, maybe it was flipped upside down and inside out but it kept the same main points.

For Roy it was:

1.      Get arm amputated + big part of his life taken away.

2.      Want vengeance.

3.      Get protheses arm.

4.      Grieve his arm and the loss of a part of his life\*.

5.      Accept the loss.

6.      Become arsenal.

For Wally it would be.

1.      Go on a “big” mission.

2.      Has to give all the power he has got to save the world.

3.      Gets trapped in the speed force.

4.      Bart ‘impulse’ Allen Steps in Wally’s footsteps and takes over the Kid Flash Mantle

5.      Wally somehow returns from the speed force, and he becomes rebirth flash. *\*

* In the comics losing a big part of his world is losing his daughter but in YJ it means losing 8 years in which his clone lived his life.

**Even though we Haven't seen this yet (obviously or else this would be a fact) it would be logical that this main point in Wally's life would happen in YJ as well (if we ever get more seasons).

In summary, I believe that it could be true that the final "battle" in S2 E20 could be a YJ stand in for the fight with Abra Kadabra just like the Roy's clones and the cadmus project being a stand in for Prometheus).

Btw its important that you guys know this is just a theory I got from thinking through, it isn't completely logical and I welcome any feedback.

And always remember to stay Traught, Whelmed and to keep feeling the Aster!

Miscellaneous I want to know if my character fits the TV shows artstyle.

Post image

Art done by Brayden M on fiverr:

So im working on a Young Justice Fanfiction im calling " Beware the Emerald Ghost." The Emerald Ghost is the protege of the Shadow, who still operates out of new York, the story takes place in Lost Heaven, the city from Mafia one, bunch of the Mafia games and different aspect of the Shadow and other pulp heroes are going to be added into the story, the story is mainly about the Emerald Ghost but events from the series would be seen from the outside prospect by my character, and I will be going over the time between the timeskip and built upon it.

Right now ive my first design, over time i will be updating the suit when a major event happens and I want to hear what changes i could do for the future.

Season 2 Discussion Episode of the day 30: Salvage

Post image
103 Upvotes

Hello Megan Count: 40

Death Count: 35

We start with the good this time, Wally is finally back. Red Arrow still searching for speedy without everyone. My favorite part is Superboy and Blue Beetle just doing some sidequest. Blue Beetle is my favorite character that’s been introduced this season. I feel like they should’ve done an animated movie in this universe of the justice league forming and fighting the rock monsters thing, that’d be a nice prequel movie or alternatively a comic. Similar to Wally in season 1 we gotta enjoy blue beetle while he’s still a relevant character. Artemis gets her debut this season alongside Jade. The ending lowkey pisses me off, we need season 5 so Cheshire can redeem herself and be a good mom, (and so Wally can return) One more thing black beetle is always a good addition.

Honestly there isn’t much bad in this episode at all. Sometimes I give a little nitpick but this one, I don’t have anything.

Overall 8/10 I hope we get more Wally soon. And will the lack of miss Martian enable episode and kill count to come back?

Season 4 Discussion Some thoughts (and questions) on S4

First of all, I should mention that I've only watched up to episode 7 of season 4 yet.

I'm one of those who just found out about season 4 (only the first 3 seasons are available on Netflix in my country), and it's great to be able to return to Young Justice after all these years. However.....

Even though I don't mind the focus on Miss Martian/Superboy, where are the other characters? We’ve seen Artemis and the Harper twins a bit, yes, but for example, Nightwing (my favorite character) isn’t around yet. I wanted to watch him the most, and of course also all of The Team.

The Martians’ story doesn’t interest me personally. I literally fast-forwarded through the first six episodes because I felt like I was watching the Martians and their planets story more than the main characters. I'm hoping it'll change in later eps, because I don't ever remember getting bored watching YJ until now.

What do you think? Are you satisfied with s4's story overall? And a personal question: Will the character focuses change in later episodes? Are we stuck in Mars most of the time? That'll be huge bummer for me.

(btw this is my first Reddit post so let me know if I have to edit anything. thanks a bunch!)

Miscellaneous looking for a comic

might have been a fever dream, but it was either Young Justice or Teen Titans (i believe it was YJ) and they were on a weekend holiday or something. essentially, Robin's identity was still secret, and the entire team (except for Kaldur) were REALLY curious about his identity, so on the getaway Wally tried to peak under Robin's mask, but Robin woke up before Wally could actually find out who he was and broke his arm. the entire team (except for kaldur) was really upset with Robin.

please tell me what comic this is (or if i made it up)
