Thinking about moving from Copenhagen to Zielona Góra – good idea or should I look at another city?
Hey everyone
I’m a M39 from Copenhagen. Never married, been busy with work most of my life, and now I’m considering a big change. I might have the chance to relocate to Poland, specifically Zielona Góra, for a job. and I’m wondering if that’s a good move. Any suggestions to consider for a foreigner?

Speaking from experience, book a week of holiday and find out. Visit a few cafeterias, pubs, speak to people, see the city and then decide.

Thank you for the advice. I have been in the area. I am looking for the most ridiclous apartment in term of location and size. Do you clues where to look?

Most of the offers especially good ones are on otodom.pl
Keep in mind that there can be better ones but for buying not renting as most people prefer buying than renting in general.

Thank you for the advice. Do you know what addresses are the “best” in the city? It can be location or size. New build preferably

Nicest are
Chynów - with only houses https://maps.app.goo.gl/MPsgtPCTFgdKSv4g9
Łężyca - many new apartments (google maps has very outdated pictures) https://maps.app.goo.gl/gnQLRECCEQ8wH9L29
Osiedle Śląskie - (north side with new apartments) https://maps.app.goo.gl/JNZMjFUA4o8LbMdWA
new apartments next to Dolina Gęśnika (valley with park) https://maps.app.goo.gl/zWgrRibd94DmqJCD6

About homes what I can recommend is to look for one with air conditioning as summers has a few weeks of very hot weather 30-35C). Air conditioning is not a standard thing in Poland but more and more homes have it - climate change.

Depends what do you value in cities. Zielona Gora is very nice, well taken care of city with some modern elements but it’s a small city, with slower life. Also in case you like big cities then there is Berlin (2h by train) and Poznan (1.5h by train).
Zielona Gora has beautiful forests around the city with many hiking paths and paths for bicycles.
It has one big shopping gallery, and many small ones.
A few good restaurants (authentic Indian, Thai), and some other ones, a few great pizzerias.
Night life for students as it has university.
140k population.
City buses are great, on time, dense schedule, clean and 90% are electric.
Flats and houses you can find great for a good price compared to larger cities.
It’s a very safe city too, even to walk in the evenings alone. Doesn’t have any no go neighborhoods - you can go anywhere.
It has a few beautiful parks, some new, some newly renovated.
Many nice bicycles roads, it’s great to have a bicycle for sport here.
What would you like to know?
