Good places hiring right now?

Hi all, I just moved back to Akron after being away for about 5 years, and am looking for a job to make some cash for the next few months while I transition into something better.

It seems as though a good few places I’ve applied to aren’t actually hiring or were just data farms. I’ve received very few constructive responses, but have received a massive influx in spam calls, texts and emails.

I have a decade of work experience from customer service to armed security. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unique/local options are ideal; not super into giant corporation jobs (AKA do not care if you live or die jobs).

It is more a corporate job but FedEx freight in Richfield is hiring. It would be part time but pay and benefits are good. It would be more physical than an office job but honestly not by much. We drive forklifts all day.

Not sure if you wanna drive that far but the Cleveland museum of art needs some security guards I think

I would strongly suggest not doing this. I worked there in IT for some years. The security dept especially, and CMA in general is not a “good place” to work I’m sorry to say.

Spectrum tech support is going through a hiring period right now, down in Canton.

Huntington bank is always hiring, especially in the call center in downtown Akron. DM me if you're interested and I can take a look at open positions today.

Look at all the web sites of the cities and villages nearest you. See if anyone is hiring summer service workers still. Probably have some openings as kids went back to college.

The city of Akron is always hiring for something. You just have to pass a preemoloyment and random drug test.
