I hate whiskey
Looking for something to perhaps change my mind, but i cant stand the taste of whiskey. I love barrel-aged flavor in beers, but for whatever reason when its combined in a high alcohol content it just tastes so putrid and aweful. Ive tried woodford reserve, jameson, lagavulin, jack daniels, and some more, but its all dissapointing.
Now on the other spectrum i love vodkas, moonshines, clear distillates, gins, and some types of clear rum. But maybe whiskey just isnt for me. Could you recommend something to change my mind? No budget

Have you dabbled in rye? Try High West Double Rye. Or maybe you don’t like the rye spiciness in whisky? So try a wheated bourbon like Weller, Larceny or Maker 46.

You don't have to force yourself to like it. I don't like whiskey much either, and it's definitely something not everybody's palate will agree with. If you haven't yet try Crown Royal, it's pretty smooth and on the lighter side as far as whiskey goes.

You have to acquire the taste for sure. Some good smooth options would be Buffalo trace, eagle rare, and Elijah Craig small batch. Knob creek is also a pretty popular brand, the liquor store I work at sells quite a bit of it. All of them are fantastic on the rocks

Single malt whiskey like Singleton, Glenfidich or Macalan taken on the rocks. Add a bit of water to dilute
