question about prime family

Hi, so my wife and I are having issues with the prime benefits from family sharing. Long story short is I owned a home about 6 hours away when we first started dating after reconnecting(we have known each other since we were teenagers) I have a pretty good job up there so I kept the house and we spend 2 weeks together, 2 weeks apart every month. Sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. She comes up with me occasionally but she has a job down there so primarily stays there so I come down and stay in the house she had prior that she kept, and has her elderly parents living in as well.

How do we make this work? Most of the time I order things I need them up north, she only ever orders stuff for her parents and gardening and such, but not often. She has been just logging into my account to use prime but wants to be able to access it from her account as well.

She is part of the household, we share wallets, she tried changing her primary address to the house up north, and I tried changing mine to the one down south but none of it is working. Do we have to change our billing addresses to make it work? We both have separate PO boxes.

We have both also placed orders to be delivered to both addresses from our own accounts.

Can she just set up an address as hers and ship to that address?

Did you go into your account settings and invite your wife to join your Amazon Family? You'll need to know the email address she uses for her Amazon account.

Yes, I also switched on and off the wallet sharing as google recommended when it wasn't working. It shows her as active and says on my end all prime benefits are shared with her, but on her end it asks her to join prime.

Edit: asks her to start a prime subscription

My husband and I are setup that way (but we are at the same address on tboth accounts which is required by Amazon). I have prime, he doesn't. It asks him to join but he doesn't and there is no issue. It is possible the different addresses are your problem as that is not permitted.

Adults sharing Prime benefits must:

o share the same primary residential address. This is the address you consider to be your home and where you spend most of your time.

o agree to share payment methods for household verification.

o have a Buy Now US billing address for Prime Video sharing.

o have linked accounts through Amazon Family.
