They need to make it like the source material and have her boobs grow gigantic over time for no reason.

And then a time skip and even larger gigantic breasts for no reason

They need to make it accurate and have her play every female character with a different wig on like the manga

Oh I’m sure there are some weirdos that are angry this isn’t a thing.

Do you think Netflix or the One Piece production company is paying for that actress breasts implants 😂

People tend to forget we're literally watching a bunch of kids/young adults sailing around the world. Of course they're going to physically change and grow throughout the series. Post-time skip though, Oda just likes gargongahazabongas.

Oda married the actress who played nami in the play version of one piece. It just makes sense that he would make her more and more attractive as the series goes on as he is now drawing a representation of his wife.

I wonder why they made her hair so symmetrical in the live action. I loved her early hair in the manga and anime because it was rough and edgy. Her hair is a lot more like Gwen Stacy without the undercut or shaved head.

Funny how you chose the only live action that’s arguably better than the anime/manga to post this on.

The original creator was heavily involved, which helped. I get the feeling if he could go back in time and make some of the same changes to the manga he would. I bet he had no idea how big this would get when he first started out.

Jeeez seeing a live action representation of an anime just makes me cringe so much

I wasn’t a fan of some of the changes that were made but I felt like the first season was a pretty good adaptation. Good acting, good special effects, surprisingly good action

Idk even if it's a "perfect adaption" i can still never get into them. If i had to use a word, I'd say it's just too uncanny for me if that makes sense. Also cringe, it just makes me cringe.

Also also another reason I hate them is because I'm still pissed Netflix decided to give kakeguri multiple separate live actions adaptions instead of just giving us the next fucking season

Personally, I just don't see a future for the live action series. As the series progresses, One Piece becomes ever more fantastical with greater variance in both the body shapes/sizes of characters and the unique abilities of those the strawhats encounter. As it continues, the CG budget is going to balloon to the point that you might as well just animate the series. Even just Luffy vs Ser Crocodile is going to be odd due to how Luffy exploited elemental properties (haki wasn't known to him at this point so he had to think about how to fight a Logia user) to fight him.

OPLA is kind of an exception. I agree every other live action anime I’ve seen is cringe. But this one is run by people who love the source material, has the author involved, and doesn’t take itself too seriously.

If you had asked me which manga would make the best live action, I would have never picked One Piece, but here we are.

Kenshin is the best by far
