People who haven’t achieved anything in life when they do something almost anyone can do if they’re dumb enough…

Having children is fine.

Emphasizing that you have a child, or even worse having a child bearing fetish and masking it as “baby fever” is proof that you either wasted your youth or you’re a failure in your adult life and you need something to live vicariously through.

Having children is not a real achievement.

Actually, it's the only achievement that actually lasts.

Progeny go on forever. Awards are eventually forgotten.

In order to care about stuff being forgotten you have to care about people’s opinions. Achieve things for yourself and when you die you die. Some of y’all are way too focused on attempting to build a legacy you’re not even sure will last or be respected lol

Having a family is definitely not for the benefit of being respected by others. People who report greater happiness in family life aren't doing so because their neighbors respect them more. It's because there's intrinsic satisfaction in raising children.
