Yeah, on a sub like this where reposts AND edits are almost equally as common as each other, it makes sense that there'd be some ambiguity with the word "original"
I disagree. This literally is a typical female’s brain. The top text is correct, it doesn’t need to be made serious. Antimemes can be funny, they just can’t have punchlines
Actually, there are more non-human females than human females, so the average female brain doesn’t look like the picture, instead it would look like this
But there's nothing to imply the silhouette needed to be a HUMAN female, which is the entire point. There's no way to take an arithmetic mean of the entirety of life on earth but the median or mode would almost certainly be an ant, and thus the most typical female would certainly also be an ant (or a different insect, but I'm pretty sure ants are the most populous insect type)
The top text implies it’s going to be funny and there are quotes, the joke is unexpected. It’s similar to memes like “This is gold🤣🤣 (a picture of a gold bar*)”.
Common unexpected jokes: “Holy cow( a common phrase you say when something is crazy/wild) points to a cow dressed as a priest*” This is a joke where the punchline is, the phrase holy cow makes you expect something but then showing a literal holy cow.
“Well in that escalated quickly (an image of a well on an escalator)*” you expect a situation where something goes from calm to very aggressive or something similar but then showing it literally.
An antimeme is a meme of which has had its punchline removed and turned into something normal. In this case the punchline has changed. The laughing emoji and quotation makes you expect that someone sexist is making a joke on how women think but then shows it literally. The antimeme would have the quotations and laughing emojis removed. Maybe the text could be turned more professional but the emojis and quotations are enough.
Adding onto my point, the laughing emojis and also the fact it is a common phrase make you remember previous situations where “this is gold” has been used in other normal situations. It makes it unexpected and funny. If you still aren’t convinced maybe you are why there are so many memes on an antimeme sub. Unexpected is definitely a joke. If you don’t see it as a “punchline” then it’s still a damn meme.
