6

u/DogPuncher8000 May 19 '25

Wtf, spit it out asshole. Jeff needs that arm.

26

u/Sir_Richard_Dangler May 17 '25

Workplace accident involving a pencil sharpener

2

u/Im_Kelgorr May 17 '25

Now we could draw their extra hand but hear me out...

what if we just didn't'?

1

u/Regular_Speech_2974 May 20 '25

Its because the response didnt work in that 0.1% chance and the coworker got mad.

1

u/Adissek123 May 20 '25

Maybe Jeff is a shortening for Joseph and he got a star shaped birthmark on his back.

1.2k

u/SirPopcornzz2002 May 16 '25

Wait, what happened to his arm?

1.5k

u/GIRose May 16 '25

I don't think he has to disclose his medical history

767

u/doloremipsum4816 May 16 '25 edited May 16 '25

Third guy: “Come on man, just tell me what happened to your arm already!”

Jeff: “Hello, human resources!?”

153

u/Froyn May 16 '25

Jeff: "I used to juggle chainsaws in the circus."

Coworker: "So that's how it happened...."

Jeff: "No. That's how I lost my foot."

84

u/nitid_name May 16 '25

Reminds me of a joke.

A sailor has a peg leg, a hook hand, and an eye patch is being asked about his injuries while he's at dock. He explains that he lost his leg when they were beset upon by other pirates. He valiantly helped his crew fight them off, but lost his leg in the process. Then, he tells the story of how he lost his hand, when they were beset upon by another group of pirates. He valiantly helped his crew fight them off, but lost a hand in the process.

"And how did you lose your eye?"

You know how birds just poop while they're flying? I was looking up at the wrong moment, and... plop, right in the eye.

"So you're telling me you lost your eye from bird shit?"

It was me first day with me hook!

3

u/weird-dude-bro-6386 May 18 '25

Oof! Yeah that would do it

11

u/drstoneybaloneyphd May 16 '25

Don't let them push your boundaries, Jeff!

2

u/AddictedToRugs May 19 '25

Even asking this question is a HIPA violation, as well as a microaggression.

3

u/GIRose May 19 '25

HIPPA applies to health insurance and providers and protects the patient from unauthorized dissemination of their medical information.

Asking the patient themselves isn't a hipaa violation and even more asking the healthcare provider or insurance wouldn't constitute a violation, but it would if they gave an answer more detailed than "I am unable to provide information related to that topic without a waiver from the potential patient in question authorizing release of information to you."

It also wouldn't be a HIPAA violation for that person to spread your medical information so think carefully before authorizing people to receive medical information

The ants ate it

18

u/SlideEastern3485 May 16 '25

Somebody check on Jeff from HR.

4

u/Tuff_the_Wigglytuff May 16 '25

I thought that was Jim

23

u/EvillNooB May 16 '25

Ants ate it, and no one called human resources

20

u/Capable-Commercial96 May 16 '25

The original image has him peaking out with his left arm hidden behind the divider, seeing as we couldn't see it, he lacked a "canon" arm design. Instead of drawing him another arm, the artist chose to make him not have one either because they didn't want to to, couldn't, or they just thought it'd be funny. He also flipped "Jeff's" image so he could be looking towards his co-workers, so that's why his missing arm in this one is his right.

3

u/sirbananajazz May 20 '25

You can literally see his fingers though

3

u/A_lil_confused_bee May 23 '25

Human recources amputated his arm as punishment in the PR concentration camp

2

u/Shydreameress May 16 '25

He got it stuck under a rock

2

u/Some-Passenger4219 May 16 '25

That's what's "missing".

1

u/Caosin36 May 16 '25

Gas leak

1

u/dexter2011412 May 16 '25

He's not alright, that's just what left of him

1

1

u/Needlehater May 18 '25

1

u/Big-Doubt-4872 May 20 '25

I didn't even notice his arm until I read this 💀

216

u/Particular_Neat1000 May 16 '25

The good ending

233

u/ReasonableDetail3789 May 16 '25

Heaven forbid amputees be represented in comic strips, you people are brutal

50

u/catsnotmichael May 17 '25

I'm not going deep enough to find whatever lame stuff was said about it but i found amusing and creative asf how they just chopped his arm off because it wasn't originally visible in the og comic

7

u/Slight_Tip1470 May 16 '25 edited May 16 '25

Except Jeff has only one arm left

18

u/Calenchamien May 16 '25

I don’t see anything wrong with representing people who’ve had an amputation being appreciated.

Losing a limb can be a terrible experience, doesn’t mean it’s terrible to represent them.

8

u/Slight_Tip1470 May 17 '25

Human resources cut it

4

u/I_am_catcus May 17 '25

The budget cuts have gone too far

3

u/Select_Egg_7078 May 17 '25

oh god, they're coming for his leg next

18

u/Pocket1176 May 16 '25

always be kind to your co-workers, especially if they’re disabled, or lost a limb like this guy. Don’t be an asshole.

8

u/SplitGlass7878 May 16 '25

Casual disabled character. Neat!

7

u/sunkist-sucker May 16 '25

this is gonna be on r/bi_irl in an hour or less

7

u/ChadSalamence_ May 16 '25

Woah, he’s bisexual. I didn’t know that.

8

u/TeddyRooseveltsHead May 16 '25

Real talk; I'm a married, straight dude. I always tell my guy friends that they're looking good, and always say "bye bro, love you" when leaving. Guys never get shown enough care. I'm 40 and I've lost 4 male friends to suicide in the last 15 years. I'm always gonna compliment my friends!

5

u/Radion627 May 16 '25

What happened to his left arm? Did he get amputated or something?

5

u/Mr_Placeholder_ May 16 '25

Hello? Human Resources?!?

3

u/le_nathanlol May 16 '25

2

u/IEatBaconWithU May 16 '25

Jeff is an amputee and his coworkers are very supportive of him

3

u/Due-Beginning8863 May 17 '25

i love that because in the original image his other arm isn't visible, instead of drawing you made him an amputee its so cute

2

u/[deleted] May 17 '25

Everyone became nice to him only after he looses his arm in an accident 😭😭😭

2

u/hellokittygirl4ever May 18 '25

nobody knows jeff lost his arm in a vigilante accident... he was raising a tiger to release on the cruel rich greedy tiger trainers in Las Vegas... but their powers were complete, and they turned the tiger on their would be assassin. he barely made it out alive, but it was mistaken for one of Roy's tigers when security arrived... and justice WAS served that day. Not be design, but rather mere chance. And so the karmic dance goes on...

1

u/kfirogamin May 16 '25

His name's jim

1

u/Lumpy-Dragonfruit-24 May 16 '25

1

u/wizardmighty May 16 '25

1

Jeff lost his arm in an accident so his co-workers are trying to cheer him up.

1

u/Particular-Cost-9494 May 17 '25

Probably they are gonna give more work to done

1

u/KiwiPowerGreen May 17 '25

Jeff name reveal

1

u/[deleted] May 17 '25 edited May 17 '25

He's not trying to switch to the left hand for gooning so he wants someone to help him. Internally he thinks that given his position of vulnerability it will be easy to convince someone if he asks enough people. Idk what else this it could mean. I can give a more detailed analysis if needed.

Edit: idc I'm giving the deeper analysis. The man is pointing at him with his right hand with his left hand in his pocket. This symbolizes him lending him an arm. The hand in his pocket represents a cut off arm while the pointing right hand represents the right hand he will give him. For the woman, she would do the same, but women have smaller hands on average. I'll let you figure that one out.

The woman is looking down. Perhaps I was wrong. The top fram could be before. She bout to help. Then the bottom is after and the dude is hyping him up. Maybe the armless dude has back to back appointments or the standing man is potentially closeted. Maybe he's not tho because looking in the eyes asserts masculine energy, dominance which is in clear contrast to the woman. Multiple approaches are acceptable is perhaps the moral. Well from here I think anyone can find their interpretation.

1

u/CapnCantRead May 17 '25

why is he an amputee was he always an amputee

1

u/Prize-Money-9761 May 18 '25
