Khatchadourian name origin

Hello! I am wanting to explore my families Armenian side, and familiarize myself. I wanted to start with the traditional clothing (taraz?), as that is the first thing that draws my attention and also who doesn't like looking good? Anyways, I know Khatchadourian is a Western Armenian name or so I've been told. And Wiki says that there are regions/provinces in Western Armenia, as I am assuming traditional clothing is different depending on what region you come from, or does it matter? I don't want to end up sharing or wearing the wrong thing, spending hundreds of dollars and or hours making it. This may be a stupid question, oh well.

And if I have made a mistake, am confused, or you just want to suggest something for me to look at/learn, please let me know! 🖤🖤🖤

Khatchadourian is not a Western Armenian name. The same exists in Armenia, Eastern Armenians spell is Khachaturyan or Khachatryan. Same meaning, "giving the cross"

(Mainland/modern) Armenians and "Eastern" also use "-ian" spelling. It is not such a concrete rule that Western Armenian spelling is always "-ian" and Eastern spelling is always "-yan".
