Serious question: is it wrong to not want homeless people in the park?

I think the issue most people have is that you're making a shitty bench that is less useful for everyone soley to keep homeless people from using it

if a homeless person is sleeping on it, then it's not useful to anyone. A bench like this is clearly because the homeless population made normal benches unusable. It's not like this bench came first.

Clearly it’s being useful to the homeless person in that case. Probably more useful to them than it would be to you or me.

I get what you mean though, I too would prefer that they didn’t use benches and the like. But are we really going to try to take benches away from people to whom that is the best place they have to sleep? How fucking sad is that?

We need to help these people, not try to make their life even worse (and ours too because those benches suck).

This isn't the way to help homeless people. A public park isn't a homeless shelter and a public bench isn't a bed. Your heart is clearly in the right place but if homeless people lived on your street, in your park, outside your house, you would feel differently.
