Cold bats and a broken bullpen will always keep us under 50%. Great job Zac, glad to see you perform well. I wish Gabby could have played.

I wasn't able to watch today 😕 was Gaby being rested after his return or another injury?

Edit: duh just realized Zac was pitching. That's probably why McCann

The gameplan for Gabby this season was to not play him in early games if they come after a night game. Probably just sticking to that rotation now that he's back.

4-3 means we won a series and didnt get swept by other team. I think thats an achievable goal

Yeah gotta earn it. If you can’t do it never deserved it anyway. I’m along for the ride. Ending season 500 I’ll still be impressed tbh. With all our outliers of pitching.

Won the series against a team vying for a playoff spot that's the important thing. Tough schedule coming up to climb mount .500

Can't win 'em all.  Couple of hits would have been nice though.

TL on the decision to put .204 hitting Jake McCarthy in left instead of Gurriel, having Gabi be DH and putting your best hitting lineup out there:

"Well it's a 162 game season. Gabi has been swinging a hot bat but sometimes your bat can get too hot and we dont want to risk him re-breaking that finger and have that kind of backfire on us a little bit. So we decided to put Lourdes at DH and give Jake the start. He's been consistently terrible at the plate this year, so we felt he was due for a breakout. Plus he hasn't been playing much and was looking kind of sad. It's important that everyone gets a turn. There's still a lot of good baseball left to be played. That's a damn good ballclub we just faced and I know our guys are fighters."

Maybe just you? Did you watch the team perform in the last four games?
